[#FOODTRIP] Pinakasulit @mesaphilippines and BDO set meal! #Tinapa Roll #Salmon #Sinigang sa #Miso #Binagoongangbaboy Crispy Boneless #Tilapia #Adobo Flakes Rice #Tofu #Sisig #Bam-i #Masarap lahat! Tinapa roll was delicious without any overly funky taste or smell. Addicting! The sinigang was a replacement for the molo soup but we felt it was actually an upgrade. The salmon meat was fatty without any strong fishy taste. The highlight was the binagoonganh baboy: their bagoong was sweet and the pork was so crunchy and fatty! The eggplant clenased your palate and it also balanced the sweetness of the bagoong. The tilapia is one of the dishes people order and it was good! Crispy tilapia fillets with sweet-chili, sour or salty dipping sauces ... yum! The tofu sisig was likewise delicious. Their tofu tasted fresh and had a thin cripsy skin with a delicate taho-like interior. Mixed with their special sisig flavorings and we had a winner! The bam-i tasted like a delicious pancit bihon but with different noodles and a more savoury sauce. Tasty and yet will not make you feel too full. The adobo flakes rice went well with everything, even the sinigang. A nice adobo taste to accompany the rest of the #Pinoy dishes. Sulit at P1595 using your BDO credit card. [#FOODTRIP] #delicious dishes from @ikeaphilippines! We don't know if we caught them at a good time but everything we tasted was delicious! The #swedish #meatballs tasted like the meatballs Pinoys have as sweet and sour meatballs. I think they tweaked it to our liking. Yummy and tender! The #gravy and #lingonberry sauce went well with the meatballs. The #mashedpotato was surprisingly good and smooth! The marinated #salmon was delicious as well. The #mustard #dill sauce gave it a sweet, citrusy and tangy taste - perfect with the marinated salmon. The #chickenwings had a crunchy skin and the meat was juicy. The skin had a herb taste and it reminded us of fennel. The #spaghetti with #pomodoro sauce was delicious and we could tell that they sweetened the taste for the Pinoys. The Crunchy #almond #chocolate #cake was yummy and it was like a chocolate bar with almonds ... yummy! Overall, very good value for the prices! [#FOODTRIP] Last minute #Valentinesday dinner reservation at @firelaketagaytay which turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Nibbles: Tuna tartare and Mini caviar pie - The tuna tartare had a strong toasted sesame flavor but the tuna was not cold enough. The Mini caviar pie had a strong caviar taste which the creamy base tried to attenuate. It was a pleasant surprise that the crostini was really crunchy. Pan seared Foie Gras, Port wine reduction with green grapes, Curly endives in red wone dressing - The foie gras was perfectly seared and went realy well with the sweet wine reduction and grapes. You can't really go wrong with foie gras and a sweet sauce. The curly endives were bitter and it tasted much better when eaten with the port wine reduction. Cappuccino of mushroom soup, Truffle foam - Great execution! The mushroom soup was piping hot and with no bits in the creamy soup. The truffle foam was a great idea and it elevated the taste profile of the soup. Grilled US Certified Angus Beef ribeye steak, Parsley-butter garlic fettuccine, Butter-glazed French beans and savory corn and tomato Red wine shallot sauce - Everything about this dish was amazing: the fettuccine was freshly made and the sauce had the right amount of butter and garlic flavors. The veggies tasted great but the tomatoes were more like palate cleansers and had a different tangy taste to them. The 350g steak was crunchy on the ouside and marshmallowy medium on the inside with a char-grilled flavor all over it, perfect! It was light on the tummy which was surprising since we usually are not able to finish a steak this size. Lime-vanilla frozen yoghurt with strawberry “gazpacho” rum-soaked fruits, almond tuile, balsamic reduction - The combination of the yoghurt and the strawberry "gazpacho" was a little to tangy for us. But the concept was executed well and the almond tuile balanced the sour flavors in the dish. Great value at P2450/person and even better service. [#FOODQUARANTRIP] Delicious #nachos and #dip! The nachos were very crispy and thin. Crispy enough to hold the dip but not too hard to bite into. The dip had two layers: a thick #cheese layer and a well-seasoned #groundbeef layer with tomatoes and onions. If you like a cheesy dip then you will definitely like their dip. The taste of the beef reminded us of the flavor of Mr. Chips. It was definitely delicious and went really well with the nachos. It had a mild spicy kick to it and you can adjust the spiciness when you order. [#FOODDELIVERY] Yummy items at @mosburgerphilippines The #wagyu #garlicrice #burger was delicious! The patty was what you would expect from MOS burger but this one was softer like a #wagyucube. The garlic rice was absolutely yummy and it may look like the amount is not enough but when you bite into it, you will feel that it was packed really tight so it will satisfy you. It also has bacon, crunchy garlic slices, sautéed onions and a delicious sauce. They melted the extra order of cheese in the patty which was very nice. We added wasabe paste and it took the burger to a whole new level! The #unagi #sushi was likewise good. But in the sushi, the amount of rice was way more than the unagi. And within the rice were tempura flakes, which was a nice touch. You can eat it on its own but putting wasabe paste then dipping it in #japanese soy sauce will make it even more delicious! [#FOODTRIP] Memorable Garden-style dining at Marcia Adams' Restaurant (@marciasresto)! The #italian #porkchop was superb. Best level of seasoning we've tasted. The fennel, pepper and salt highlighted the softness and juicyness of the pork meat. Yes, it was soft and not just tender. The meat was almost as soft as the fat. And boy was the fat good. Clean fat taste with all of the seasonings. The porkchop was light despite its huge and thick size. Ganun sya kasarap! The #angussteak with #truffle butter was also seasoned really well. Even the marble potatoes had a different taste profile but the seasoning on it was excellent. The asparagus and the french beans were cooked well and had the right amount of butter taste. The meat was on the chewy side but it was not tough. The #bolognese was really delicious. The taste reminded us of Amare La Cucina's ragu bolognese but better. The pasta that came with it was #spaghettini and it really went well with the delicious sauce. We will definitely order it again. The #babaghanoush was delicious. It had a subdued eggplant taste but was refreshingly garlicky. The #hummus was good and was a bit spicy. Among the two, we preferred the baba ghanoush. The #friedbannas tasted like sliced maruya and the chocolate dip was the perfect dip for it. The #pannacotta was not too sweet and the #lemon sauce was a perfect sour contrast. The overall experience was great as the service was excellent although almost all of the customers would frequently ask the staff to take their pictures because the garden-style dining areas were artsy, charming and quaint. Everyone will definitely remember their lovely ambience. The coating and taste of the #chicken are the same as that of the chicken joy and the meat (real chicken meat) is so juicy! The dressing is tangy and tastes like it has mustard in it. Also, there are a couple of slices of pickles in the sandwich. The combination of the flavors really took this chicken sandwich to another level. Masarap! [#FOODTRIP] Excellent #seafood dishes and even better service @fishcoph! The #snowcrab leg was superb! The meat was as delicate as a calligraphy brush. The taste was mildly sweet and was complemented well by the buttery sauce. The claw meat was something else and had a different but delicious crab taste to it. Masarap sya! The Seafood #aglioolio was spicy but in a good way. It was garlicky, of course but was not overpowering. The spiciness had the effect of making you like the dish more. Our go-to dish here is the #seafoodmarinara. The sauce was good as usual and went well with the seafood. It is not spicy so this would be a good option for those who can't take the heat. 😉 The #friedcalamari was addicting. It had a crunch to it and the squid meat tasted fresh and tender. The dipping sauce added a nice creamy taste to the calamari. Their pork #bbq was one of the best we've had. Sobrang sarap! Their isaw had a clean taste to them and were perfect with rice! The Rellenong Alimasag (#stuffedcrab) was from Chicago's Best and had a good amount of sweet crab meat and we could tell that they did not skimp on the ingredients and flavor. It was a delight to eat. The Central Garden of Ayala Malls Manila Bay is an open space with several food stalls to choose from. Gorgeous cake from @bethanydreamcakes for our little man! The level of detail is amazing! The #cake flavor that we chose was Hummingbird and it was delicious! There were #pineapples and walnuts nuts in the banana cake. The icing and fondant were just the right amount of sweetness which made eating it a delight! The gold balls were #maltesers and the decorations were made from #whitechocolate. The cake was both nice to look at and to eat.
