[#FOODQUARANTRIP] Delicious #nachos and #dip! The nachos were very crispy and thin. Crispy enough to hold the dip but not too hard to bite into. The dip had two layers: a thick #cheese layer and a well-seasoned #groundbeef layer with tomatoes and onions. If you like a cheesy dip then you will definitely like their dip. The taste of the beef reminded us of the flavor of Mr. Chips. It was definitely delicious and went really well with the nachos. It had a mild spicy kick to it and you can adjust the spiciness when you order. [#FOODQUARANTRIP] Happy 45th anniversary to @thepeninsulamanila! Their 45th anniversary takeaway specials were hits! The #strawberry #croissant had large sweet strawberries, #strawberryjam and a delicious creamy #vanilla #custard inside a freshly baked croissant. Sobrang sarap! First one on their menu to be sold out and we definitely know why. (P197.6 for two pieces) Their #ube #ensaymada was delectable. They made it with finesse but with the #pinoy taste in mind. The bread was dense and not airy, the ube filling was smooth and the saltiness of the cheese was just right. (P197.6 for two pieces) The #angus #bavette #steak was cooked to medium rare. The strips were very tender and went well with the curry and mint sauces. But we tried it with #bbq sauce and it tasted even better with the bbq sauce! We think that the #frenchfries were not frozen then fried, which is really good as they were not starchy. (P450) The #nasigoreng was phenomenal. The taste of the rice was more of an arroz a la valenciana with the bell peppers and the huge amount of chicken meat in the rice. But it was really delicious! The #chickensatay was surprisingly juicy and the peanut sauce was as peanuty as it can be without being overly sweet. Another surprise was how crunchy the crackers were. We do not know how they were able to keep the crackers very crunchy even for takeouts. It's like you're eating ground beef but in shredded form. Their beef is salty and sweet and goes really well with the steak rice. The steak rice is fluffy with no overpowering flavor. Sarap! Their chicken was delicious and moist as always, the pasta was al dente and perfectly garlicky, the pizza was surprisingly larger than what we expected and tasted really good. The breadsticks were addicting, as usual, soft but a little chewy and garlicky. What really impressed us was that the portions were relatively large for the price (P370).
