LUtober - Day 13: Hunted

so i get this doesn't entirely make sense at first glance, so let me explain

in alttp, legend's pretty young when he gets hunted down by knights and monsters alike. knights because of a spell and false accusations, and monsters because in the dark world he's a helpless rabbit until he gets a moon pearl.

because he's so young, i wanted to take something normally joyful and innocent (like a puppet show) and turn it into something twisted- the reality of what his life has become. a spar with wooden swords is fun, but the game is gone when you see the life leaving your opponents eyes- you realize this isn't a spar anymore, and your steel blade is coated in blood.

it's not a game to legend, not anymore. the show isn't a game to a puppet either. but it is a game to the monsters that hunt him down. to the claws that clasp around the little puppet and toy with it until they get bored.

anyways, i'm rambling lol- i thought it'd be a good symbolism that combines the lack of grasp youth can have on things with the dark reality that is legend's situation ^^;
