That is an assumption I already discussed in the original post as to why it’s not enough for me. Would I like it to be true? Yes, definitely, but it’s not like I said that scene was 100% abuse going on. I was talking about how that scene triggered my own (and maybe other’s) feelings of abuse because of the lack of solid evidence Dirk has changed otherwise.

Besides, as the story has shown, character development is not always in a straight and positive trajectory (vriska).

What is fuck off because abuse survivors absolutely need to be able to discuss the abusive aspects of a ship with other shippers as a whole because there is an in fandom problem of often abusive tendencies being romanticized without said shippers understanding that those things are abusive and considering the post was tagged with both “abuse” and “dirkjake abuse” in case anyone who didn’t want to see won’t so you could just block those instead of being an overripe onion in a sock about it?????? @ghostypudding

i say this as someone who is a huge bubbline shipper: bubbline is "subtext" or "coded", not "censored". saying bubbline is "censored" implies that the show was modified post-production in some way, which it wasn't. it's like saying dumbledore is "censored". please stop saying it is "censored". it's misleading people into thinking that bubbline has been "edited out" post-production against the will of the writers. sorry if my ask seems rude, i just wanted to stop the spread of misinformation.

The thing is, when the show was pitching canons and stuff, the writers intended for Bubbline to be a part of the show, but Cartoon Network refused to air it if that was part of the storyboard. Thus, censored. -The Ironic Mod

chuck e cheese's actually stopped using animatronics 15 or 20 years ago tho so you don't have to worry. they were popular in the seventies and eighties but in the late 90s people began to realize how creepy they were and got rid of them.

ah that is .... a relief. I mean... honestly I was not aware this was a thing in any way whatsoever so when I learned of it, I just paused, thinking 'Wow that's messed up'.
