Nightmare tries to seem as regal and composed as possible, while those eyes- shining eyes in that pink face!- looked at her with hope and anticipation and she couldn't help but know what Flurry was waiting for!
"The proposal was... sudden. We admit to being caught off, but we are not.... opposed to the proposal."
Flurry has an audible intake of breath and hides her expression behind her hooves!
"Clearly, though, this is complex matter. We suggest rather than rushing in, we begin with.... an engagement."
The word drops. The room's filled with silence.
"An engagement.... would be very acceptable!" Flurry says her first words since Nightmare began!
"We will have to take our time with it.... for political reason, of course!" Nightmare's neck straightens and she tries to hide her own blush. An engagement would give her more time to sort out her own feeling and for the two to figure things out! "Of course!" a grinning Flurry Heart, tears in her eyes, readily agrees!
