{🔥}—; The little dragon took the time to get a closer look, his eyes looked at the catbird with curiosity because he’d seen a lot of things but never something that looked like some kind of catbird hybrid. “You’re in Evening Lake, one of the worlds of the Forgotten Realms.

Spyro looked at his paw, it was definitely bigger than him but size didn’t matter to him so far he seemed to be a friendly kind of guy, so he reached his smaller paw forward and shook his hand. “Good to know ya Zephyr, but never seen anyone like ya before if that’s what you are.”

"T-Thunder, come over here..." Zephyr called. It had been a particularly intense storm- with the aftermath of a tornado evident in a dark brown gouge scarring a field in a wild, zigzagging pattern. Zephyr took off his specially made helmet and face-guard, gasping for air as he did so. The clouds were breaking- there was a lot of cleanup work left to do afterwards, but the worst was over. "Thunder, please..." The opinicus sounded weak- something was wrong.

             🌪️ “Woah…”

                   Hardly anything was able to deter Thunderlane from doing absolutely nothing on his days off. The storm had gone from loud to raging before the charcoal pegasus noticed something was wrong from outside his bedroom window.

                    Upon rushing onto the scene, the damage was immediately evident. Luckily, it was fairly far off from any civilians, but many had started flooding the area of disaster after seeing the catastrophe from a distance.

                    Most troubling to Thunderlane, however, was the disheveled opinicus calling for his help.

              🌪️ “Zephyr!? What happened out here, dude!?”

"Hello, Rainy! How fares it?" Zephyr asks. "I feel like it's been forever and a half since I've seen you- guess time really does fly, sometimes!"

"I'm pretty good! Nothing's really been happening- but, y'know, in a 'waiting for the other hoof' to drop kinda way? If nothing happens for awhile, I get nervous!" Rainbow Feather replies

Above, a weather services drone circles- controlled from a rooftop by a familiar grey and black opinicus. The drone, innocuous enough, serves to provide an early warning system of approaching fliers and potential hostiles- whether corporate security or local law enforcement... Another opinicus, blue, black, and silver- is watching network activity intently for potential activity spikes or countermeasure activation... Rainy and her allies are well covered.

Cyerpunk Feather nods (again, uselessly, no one can see that you silly griff!) at the knowledge she has eyes covering

"Hey, Rainy! It's been a while, huh? I've been a bit busy, going back and forth between the Opinician Republic and Equestria. I've got my own team in the Weather Patrol now, isn't that cool? Sometime, I've got to pay you a visit and give you a great big hug. Tell Gren and your parents hi for me, and I hope I can find time to see you, soon!" - Zephyr the Opinicus

A letter from Zephyr! Alright, I gotta right a good reply...

"Zephyr! Congratulations on your own team! I'm sure the skies of the Opinicus Republic are in good paws! I'll be sure to tell the fam, they'll love to hear it!

Quartz has joined me on my response team full-time, so I've been able to hang out with her more than ever, and I never know what adventures come next. I'd love if you could come along sometimes!

Meanwhile, in Medic Feather's 'verse... "Rainy!" Zephyr calls. "It's so good to see you! It's been a while, how have things been going for you and Quartz?" Astro is with him, too.

"Zephyr! I haven't seen you and Astro in awhile! You gotta visit Equestria more.

"Quartz has gotta less and less satisfied with researching magic and has been wanting to go on missions more and more. Even though she doesn't have wings I think she might like traveling more than I do..."
