Insidious, the entire haunting of hill house series in one sitting, & creep are my favorite halloween movies!

Insidious i have a love hate relationship with! I loved loved loved it up until the 3rd act were it severly disappointed me. It's not to say it was bad by itself, but i'm sick and tired of haunted house + psychic mediums + bad representation of how the afterlife works lmao. but it was actually full of good scares so 7.5/10

HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE ONLY RECENT HORROR SHOWS THAT I WOULD WATCH OVER A MODERN HORROR ANY DAY! It nailed and perfected the genre i would dare to say. A problem i have with many movies is that they don't have enough run time to actually develop and hype its story and characters the way a good show does. If i ever had the opportunity to make either a show or a movie, you know i would be making a show because it allows for so much more emotional reach with the audience than most movies can properly do. I have such a short list of authentically good movies that i think nailed it through its medium, but most movies fall short of using it right. 10/10 show. No spoilers: if you're a horror fan, watch it immediately.

I legitimately enjoyed Creep! The second one less so, but the first one as a stand alone is really fun. I wouldn't call it horrifying, but it lives up to being creepy and unsettling and i enjoyed the premise. It was unlike a lot of horror i had been watching previously which made it refreshing. Is it memorable? I would say so, 6/10.
