here are some thoughts on the mcdrai a/b/o AU which i've workshopped thoroughly with my people ( @sweethomeblue & @meteortrails ). posting this because i want everybody to enjoy the beautiful doll house we made. also i may or may not write this after i finish my current fic. who knows! anyway!
ok so for a really long time i did not like a/b/o tbh it felt like fandom's way of saying what if we reinvented misogyny.... but for men.
but i do think for athletes there is such an added layer of your body is not just your body, it's a tool!
saying this has made me think it would be interesting to come up with a world where a/b/o is used on purpose to make you a better player. like maybe if you're an omega you're more nimble and fast and flexible... connor being better at his style of hockey not in spite of being an omega but BECAUSE of it.
so basically imagine a world where being an omega is completely accepted in society/sports and actually seen by everyone as totally normal and chill...
ok so now imagine connor mcdavid still mcfucking hates it LOL
