Lexi Howard - Everyone's Second Choice
while the day dies
“How do you want your mom and sister to remember you?” “As someone who tried really hard to be someone I couldn’t.”
Or:
Gia, post s3 finale
Read now on AO3
it is such a missed opportunity for lexi to fill gia's gap for rue since the actress isn't returning for s3 from what I heard, the second best candidate is Lexi since she also witnessed rue's highs and lows, Lexi has a lot of similarities from gia as the little sister that has watched their older sisters spiral and what a better way to explore Lexi's trauma from her father's addiction through rue too it's a two in one c'mon maaaan
People might be saying Leslie was harsh to cut Rue off but I’m here to say she actually wasn’t. Rue has proved time and time again that she won’t stay sober and it’s like it just becomes a toxic vicious cycle that plays on a continuous loop. And I’ll just say this Rue is going to have to want to get help and do the work, but not at the expense of her mother or Gia addiction takes its toll on family members of addicts and Leslie and Gia are no exception.
RUE BENNET MOODBOARD
oh rue you didn’t deserve it
I know Rue burned a lot of bridges, and honestly, cutting an addict out of your life is sometimes the best thing to do. But I can’t help but feel like a lot of the people around her abandoned her. She hadn’t seen her mom or sister face to face for who knows how long. The last time she talked to Jules, she got slapped in the face and had to hold back tears when she left. The last time she talked to Lexi, everything she said got shot down until she decided to leave. Literally, Ali was the only one in her corner. It just makes me sad when I think about it.
second half of season 2 and the entirety of season 3 never fucking happened imo
