Little Ribbon Dancer
Howdy folks! Here is a lil oneshot to get me back in the swing of things. :)
This is just a thing for @crustysoapbubbles, you requested this a while ago, sorry it took so long, I’ve been all over the place. Hope you like it! Some groovy Gangle G/t angst :D
tw ~ falling, fear, unintentional fearplay, minor self depreciation, Kinger shenaniganary Word count ~ 1k
When Gangle woke up in the morning, the last thing she expected was her bed to be like a vast expanse of fabric around her. In fact, her whole room was gigantic to her…
What kind of nightmare…
Gangle suddenly gasped. This was too real to be a nightmare, and it seemed like it wasn’t her room that grew.. she shrunk.
The ribbon character started to panic, breath quick and uneven as she looked around. The constantly worried eyes of her mask seemed appropriate for this situation.
What would she do? There wasn’t much she could do at the moment… maybe find Caine?
With trembling ribbon limbs, Gangle stood and looked over the edge of her bed. She saw the drop to the floor was long… and even though she knew cartoon physics wouldn’t let her get seriously hurt, she still felt terrified of the drop.
However.. she noticed how on the floor next to the bed there was a pillow, one of the five that she didn’t use much that had probably fallen off the bed in the night.
This would be scary… but there wasn’t another option, so Gangle walked to the very edge and prepared to jump…
Only to attempt to chicken out at the last moment. But the momentum of the running start caused her to fall anyway with a startled yelp.
Fortunately, she landed on the pillow anyway and was only mildly disoriented.
Looking around, she saw that the door had a crack under it big enough for her ribbon body to fit under.
By the time Gangle made it down the hallway of bedrooms, she was completely out of breath and tripping over her own feet. Finally, she took a moment to catch her breath, and that’s when she noticed the familiar form of a royal-looking chess piece.
Kinger seemed to be staring, dissociating most likely, and not paying attention… he would be a good help in finding Caine…
Gangle ran over to him, yelling out his name but soon realizing that he couldn’t hear her, whether from the dissociation or her size change, she didn’t know.
Regardless, she still tried waving her arms around to gain his attention… and she almost regretted it when she did because immediately his eyes were blank and looking at her in a way she thought was much more intimidating while she was the size of a hand.
Kinger gasped loudly and suddenly, staring down at her with wide eyes.
“Part of an insect collection…”
He muttered under his breath, one of his disconnected hands reaching out to grab Gangle. She let out a squeal of fear and covered her eyes with ends of her ribbon hands. She was grabbed by the giant hand and lifted up high into the air, only to a normal sized person it was only a few feet off the ground.
The grip wasn’t tight though, not to her flattened digital body of ribbon, and once the hand stopped at kingers eye level, it opened, leaving Gangle sitting in his open palm as he inspected her.
“K.. Kinger! It’s me!”
She spoke up with very little confidence, her arms practically tied together with how much she nervously fidgeted with them.
There was a pause, of Kinger being frozen and silent… Gangle knew what was coming.
A sudden scream came from the chess piece character as the hand she was on flailed at a high speed, she was wrapped around his thumb for dear life…
She squealed in fear as she was flung around while Kinger continued to scream.
“Stop! Stop- wait!”
As her tiny voice yelled, Kinger paused and brought his hand up to his face in surprise, his constantly wide eyes staring at her in curiosity and confusion.
“Oh, Gangle. You startled me…”
He sounded exasperated from the screaming. She was still shaken up from the unexpected flailing… though Gangle supposed she should have suspected that considering startling Kinger was never a good idea.
“Uh.. sorry, Kinger.. I-I don’t know what happened to me”
She sounded like she was on the verge of tears. Without her comedy mask, that’s how she always felt. Small. Sad.
Only now that was literal.
“Hm… well, maybe it was your mental perception of yourself losing your mask, causing you to feel mentally small, turning you physically small.”
He spoke with a surprising amount of sense. Gangle stared at him for a moment.
“You mean… my digital form matched my mind…?”
“…. Your what?”
Immediately Kinger went back to his own strange mental state, forgetting everything he had just said. Gangle sighed and decided not to bring it back up, instead wanting to focus on her original plan.
“Just… can you take me to Caine?… I-I don’t.. like this.”
“Right, yes, of course!”
He made his way around the circus tent, searching, while also keeping his palms cupped against his royal cape. They continued like that until eventually they spotted the AI ringmaster dusting the ceiling of the tent upside down. After calling his name once he was levitating in front of them, his boisterous voice boomed.
“Well, hello Kinger! Any particular reason for disrupting my cleaning duties?”
The chess piece held up his hands. Gangle stared up at Caine with an apprehensive look before muttering.
“H-hi… can you fix this..?”
“Well, let’s see…”
Caine inspected the tiny figure, a hand where his chin would be if he had one.
“A glitch! Simple fix, Gangle! There!”
He snapped, and suddenly Gangle was normal sized again, causing Kinger to scream again and drop her. She dusted herself off and looked down at herself. She didn’t expect it to be that easy….
“Hey… Caine… could you also… f-fix my comedy mask..?”
She asked hopefully, wanting her other face fixed if Caine had already helped her once so simply.
“Hm… No! But… An adventure will cheer you up!”
Gangle gave a saddened whine as a collection of groans sounded throughout the tent, signaling that the others had heard the unfortunate words of adventure.
Maybe next time.

HIHI I stumbled on your blog and I love the way you write GAHH!! Haven't gotten to reading all the fics yet but I will get there hehe.
Curious if you could do a one shot of kinger with a tiny scared new circus member? I looove giant kinger and how people portray him and how he'd go about this specific situation. Thank you <3!!
Here ya go!
Calling this "Cat in the cold", inspired by a song by Mage tears and also reminds me of the new circus member in this oneshot.

So I gave the new circus member character in this autistic traits, you could still read the character as neurotypical, but some of their behaviour makes sense with them being autistic.
Shutting my eyes, I slid the mysterious headset over my face and tightened the straps. I wasn’t sure what I was expecting, but upon opening my eyes I found myself in a strange, dimly lit game. The place was huge, seemingly expanding miles in every direction. It was dim, but the darkness didn’t quite swallow up the light, I was still able to clearly able to see my hands in front of me. The world looked slightly fuzzy, I closed my eyes and shook my head a little to orient myself. When I opened my eyes, I started to take in the strange objects of my surroundings. Giant blocks, ranging from around 30 feet to 100 feet tall and other shapes sat in a massive structure that narrowed at the ceiling. I slowly turned my head to the left, I spotted what seemed to be a massive lounging area, with sofas, a carpet and a coffee table. I found it peculiar that despite the randomness of my surroundings, the scale was the most impressive thing. Even from a distance, I could see that the sofas were truly towering, impossible for me to ever even attempt to scale. I turned my head to the right and saw a wooden stage with giant crimson curtains hanging either side of it. The strangest part of the whole game was the silence, the only sound my own breathing. The temperature was cool but comfortable. I raised an eyebrow and reached for the headset I was wearing.
Except, it wasn’t there. My hands felt at my face, expecting to find the headset. However, I felt nothing but plastic. Cold, slightly rubbery plastic covered what was supposed to be my face. It was a stark contrast to my normal, soft human skin. I could feel a small bump where my new nose must’ve been, and indents which must’ve been my eyes, but no headset. I felt at my face more frantically, clawing at it in a desperate search before tugging at my hair. Nothing about me felt organic any more, even my hair felt more like thin strands of fabric than the stuff that was supposed to grow from my head. Gritting my teeth, I looked around frantically, my head snapping to multiple directions as I further took in my surroundings. Through my teeth, my breathing began to quicken. I tried to resist, squeezing my lips shut to not allow myself to hyperventilate. The air just rushed in and out of my nose instead.
Suddenly, I heard a noise. It was quiet, distant, a soft sound of something shifting. I looked around frantically, but saw nothing. I felt at my face again, tugging at my hair and trying to find the headset I so wished would reappear.
There has to be some kind of explanation. I thought. There has to be a way out.
I wanted to believe myself, I wanted to force myself into staying calm and solving my predicament, but deep down the feeling that I was just kidding myself began to bubble and rise. Unable to contain it any longer, I started hyperventilating through both my nose and mouth as I continued to feel at my face for any sign of the headset. Nothing, nothing but the cold, artificial fakeness of what was meant to be my face. My pupils quickly moved all over my new body. It wasn’t too different from my actual appearance, but I could feel that my hands were made of the same slightly rubbery plastic as my face. Pressing down on my torso atop my clothes, I felt that my body was no longer soft, squishy and organic, but had been replaced with the same material as my hands and face. Furthermore, I couldn’t feel any heart beating despite my panic.
What am I?
A cold, shaky shiver ran down my spine.
What’s happened to me?
I sat down, my shoulders hunched and tensed, my body began to tremble.
I’m trapped…I’m, I- I abruptly cut off my rushing thoughts and pulled my arms up to cover my head, pulling it down slightly.
My hands gripped the hair on the back of my head. Squeezing my eyes shut, I pulled my knees to press into my chest. Blocking off my sight was likely to calm my racing mind, reducing the stimulation usually did. However, my attempts at calming myself were proving fruitless, my breathing only quickening. I curled up even tighter,
trying and failing to suppress my panicked thoughts. I gulped hard, using my hands to cover my ears in an attempt to reduce the stimulation further. For a short while, I stayed like that. I tried to focus on grounding myself until I could finally force my breathing to slow. I inhaled a slow, shaky breath before exhaling.
‘Hello?’
I jolted instantly from the sound, uncurling and snapping my head up to see where it had come from. Looking up, I saw a giant, towering figure in front of me, casting a huge shadow that seemed to swallow my entire being. It was truly staggering, at least 100 feet tall. The figure itself didn’t appear to be a human. I could make out a long body wrapped in what seemed to be a purple robe, floating hands either side of it, and a head that was a king chess piece with two giant eyes that were staring down at me. In the lighting, I couldn’t gauge their expression, seeming blank and emotionless from my perspective. With a sharp intake of breath, I back-pedalled on my hands and feet, my wide eyes never leaving the giant figure. My earlier progress at calming myself was stripped away as I started to hyperventilate again.
‘Are you…okay?’ His voice was quieter and softer this time, but it did little to ease my fear. He bent down, hands moving from his sides to hover in front of him.
My muscles tensed hard as I froze to the spot, staring up at the looming figure. I inhaled and exhaled in fast succession, feeling the air rush in and out of my throat violently. He slowly shifted one of his hands, moving it through the air and starting to close the distance. His hand loomed closer, making me flinch violently, my trembling turning to shaking. I eyed his hand, just the thought of how easily those massive fingers could grab or crush me between them made me feel sick to my stomach. He pulled it back instantly, shuffling his body backwards a little. He began to lower himself to the floor. He didn’t appear to have legs, instead, his body sort of bent in half at the middle, his lower half resting on the floor as an equivalent of him sitting on his knees. Once he was sat, he held his hands in front of him in a “surrender” position.
‘I’m not going to grab you.’ He reassured gently, placing his hands on the floor next to himself.
I gulped, looking him up and down quickly before pushing against the floor with my arms and legs to increase the distance between us. Once I’d moved backwards by a few feet, I froze again. He didn’t reach for me, didn’t even move a muscle. He sat completely still, like a giant statue. He reminded me of someone trying not to scare a small, frightened animal. One of my hands started to push against the floor again, ready to help me scoot backwards, but I stopped it. Slowly but surely, I began to pull myself to stand. I flattened my feet on the floor, stumbling as I pushed myself off the floor. I flinched again as the giant’s hand twitched as if he wanted to reach for me again, luckily, he remained still. Finally, I managed to make it to my feet, legs shaking. I held my hands near my torso, fidgeting them together. The giant person tilted his head, his pupils moving slightly to take in my appearance. Now he was closer to my level, I could make out his expression. His brows were furrowed, looking less like eyebrows and more like drawn on lines above his eyes. If anything, his expression read as concerned.
‘Hey…’ He started, ‘You’re confused a-and…terrified right now.’
I didn’t move from my spot on the floor, just staring up at him with wide, frightened eyes. I felt my shoulders hunch up as I thought about how easily he could just grab me in one of his giant hands.
‘Aren’t you?’ He quickly broke the eye contact, his brows furrowing further. ‘Well, this must be a lot for you.’
I opened my mouth to say something, to ask where I was, what was going on, I wasn’t sure, but I quickly shut it again and wrapped my arms around myself.
‘But…you don’t need to be afraid of me.’ He looked back at me, resuming the eye contact and leaning forwards a little. ‘I promise.’
My fingers thrummed against my sides, my arms remaining locked around my torso. He seemed harmless, but I just couldn’t bring myself to trust him yet.
‘Have you uh…’ He paused, pupils darting away awkwardly. ‘You don’t remember your name, do you?’
I blinked twice in confusion
What does he mean? Of course I can remember my na- I felt all my muscles tense up further.
What’s my name?!
‘I-I’ I stuttered, feeling my breathing quicken again.
‘D-don’t worry, that’s….normal. None of us remember our names.’
‘Wha-wh-’ I gulped hard, and forced myself to speak, albeit in a quiet, trembling voice I wasn’t sure he’d even hear, ‘W-what’s going on?’
‘Well, you’re….here now, in a digital circus. I know, it’s a lot to take in.’
I grimaced, raising a brow at him.
‘A…digital circus?’
He nodded slowly, using a hand to rub his neck…or what would’ve been his neck if his head wasn’t a chess piece.
I took a tentative step closer, but froze as I felt his gaze pinned to me. I decided to remain cautious, not allowing myself to trust him yet.
‘H-how do I get out of here? Where’s the headset I put on?’
‘I’m afraid…’ He paused, rubbing his neck again and looking away. ‘I’m afraid you can’t leave, you’re not going to see that headset again any time soon.’
I shook my head, ‘What do you mean? How is th-that….even possible?’.
He sighed, slowly shaking his head, ‘It’s…complicated. I don’t fully understand it, despite having been here for…so long.’ His tone quietened as he finished the admittance, his brows furrowing in sadness.
A silence played out between us, a silence void of his voice, a silence that allowed my racing thoughts and panic to return.
I grabbed at my head again, fingers grasping at my hair, but once more, no headset, just artificial hair against my hands. I shook my head as if I could wish my reality away.
‘No, no.’ I chanted breathlessly, the tightness of my throat making my words come out raspy and quiet. ‘No, no, no!’
‘Hey, don’t panic, i-it’s okay!’
I heard his words, but they bounced off of me, I didn’t take them in.
I squeezed my eyes shut and wrapped my shaking arms around my torso. Usually, adrenaline causes someone to become warmer, harshly reminding me of my new, artificial body when my temperature remained the same. I forced myself to lower myself to the floor once again, and curled up into a small, shaky ball by hugging my knees tightly to my chest. Like before, I tried to reduce the stimulation, I covered my ears, squeezed my eyes shut and waited for my breathing to slow. However, this time, my attempts were completely useless. My breathing only quickened, my shaking worsened to violent tremors throughout my entire body. I let the tears now stinging in my eyes flow down my cheeks, not bothering to suppress them.
Suddenly, I felt something gently press into my side, then into my other side. I looked up from the floor instantly, snapping open my eyes. To both sides of me were giant, white, moving objects. I quickly recognised them as hands. Before I could even attempt to flee, they both slipped underneath me, supporting my body. The hard floor was replaces with a soft, somewhat plush surface. His hands felt less like hands and more like giant pillows, perhaps they would’ve been comfortable if not yielded by a giant stranger. I yelped and scrambled to the edge of his palms to escape, but quickly crawled backwards to the centre as his hands lifted off the floor.
‘It’s okay, I’ve got you.’ He whispered gently, his tone heightening slightly in pitch.
I felt my stomach drop as he lifted his hands from the floor. He moved them with enough care that I wouldn’t stumble over, but high enough that a rush of nervous butterflies rushed to my abdomen. They rose until they were level with the stranger’s chest. My breathing came out in desperate, ragged gasps as I curled up into a ball again, pressing my knees against my chest and wrapping my arms around them tightly.
‘There now, I’ve got you.’ He whispered again.
I kept my head down, staring at the gloved hands supporting me. Anything was better than looking into his giant, looming eyes.
‘I’m sorry, I was too sudden, wasn’t I?’
I didn’t respond, how could I? He sighed, looking at the floor.
‘Do you want me to put you down?’
I blinked in surprise and forced myself to look up and into his eyes.
‘U-uh’ I stuttered.
I did want him to put me down, but would it have been much better? I had two choices: be held in a giant pair of hands that, while they didn’t seem like they wanted to, could crush me before I had a chance to react. Or, I could be placed back down on the floor and have a giant constantly looming over me like a mountain, able to just grab me again if he wished. I gulped, contemplating. I noted how distracting him holding me was, how my thoughts had switched from dread to fear since he’d scooped me up. His presence wasn’t comforting, but it was a major distraction from my predicament. I took a deep shaky breath, deciding I’d rather be frightened of someone than let the existential panic take over my entire body and mind again. I meekly shook my head, looking down at his hands.
‘Okay, that's okay.'
I flinched as his hands tilted. I found myself being slid into just one while he pulled the other away.
‘I understand if you’re not ready to come up with a new name yet.’
My shoulders tensed up and I shook my head.
‘But...my name is Kinger.’
With his now free hand, he reached an outstretched finger towards me, holding it near my torso. My eyes widened as he closed the distance.
I nodded meekly, and took his fingertip into my hands. The fabric of the glove yielded slightly under my grip, it was soft, but wasn’t warm.
‘Kinger…’ I tested quietly, feeling how it felt to say his name.
He shook his fingertip in my hands up and down slightly, a sort of handshake, before pulling it away. With the initial adrenaline from being picked up having worn off, I felt the dread of my situation start to rush back. I had hoped that the fear induced by being held would have been a sufficient distraction, but I was proven wrong as my breathing, which was previously slowing, suddenly switched to hyperventilating. Kinger curled his fingers inwards a little. I curled up tighter, my legs starting to shake again. I stumbled slightly as the surface beneath me began to move. I scuttled backwards as I saw the massive wall of his robe approaching. He bought me closer to his chest, and I felt fluff suddenly engulf me as I was pressed into the surprisingly soft fabric. I froze for a moment, before starting to squirm, feet lightly pushing against him, but not really trying to get away. He pulled me away a little in response.
‘I-i’m sorr-’ He stopped himself, blinking in surprise as I reached my hands towards him. ‘Oh.’
The massive blanket of a chest immediately embraced me again as he pressed me into it. The sheer scale of him caused a shudder to run through my body, fear still pulsing through me despite how comforting his presence was becoming. It felt overwhelming, but at least it was a distraction. My back was smothered by his palm, my front covered by his robe, soothing, but verging on overstimulating.
‘Are you okay there?’ He asked softly, I only nodded in response.
Suddenly, I felt the gentlest of a touch on the back of my head. Using his free hand, one of his fingertips brushed from the top of my head down to the base of my neck, sending nervous tingles down my spine. It felt like a giant pillow dragging down me. I tensed up. He stroked me again, this time the tiniest bit firmer. Perhaps at another time, the touch would’ve been comforting, but at that moment, with the overwhelming sensation of fluff engulfing me from the front, and a palm smothering me from the back, it crossed the line and became too much. I shook my head, leaning it away from his finger in an attempt to deter him. He paused, before letting his free hand rest at his side instead.
I shivered and leant into him, gripping the fabric of his robe as one thought repeated itself in my mind like a siren.
The headset is gone.
I felt my tears start to fall again, and clung harder, burying my face into his robe.
I’m trapped...here, wherever that is.
‘I’ve got you, it's alright.’ He muttered.
After about a minute, he slowly pulled his hand away, holding me near his chest, but not pressing me into it.
‘It’ll be okay.’ He said softly. He used one of the fingers of his free hand and gently tilted my chin up to look up at him. ‘I promise, you’ll pull through.’
I stumbled as he once again started to lift his hand, catching myself with my hands. I gripped to his finger as I was lifted. He placed me atop his shoulder, which was covered with the much thicker, white fluff of the collar of the robe. I sunk into the material a little as I sat, holding onto it with my hands as he rose to stand.
‘We should get inside, it's morning, so the lights will come on soon.’
I looked around, then back at him, confused.
‘I mean inside my fort.’ He explained with a small chuckle.
He motioned with his eyes somewhere to the left. I turned my head and saw a huge pile of pillows.
‘Wh-why do we have to be in there when the lights turn on?’ I muttered, tilting my head.
‘I-i’m not…as aware when it’s bright, I’m scared I won’t be as careful with you, that I might accidentally hurt you.’
I shivered, clutching to the fluff I was now somewhat engulfed in.
‘Oh…’
‘Also, the others will be up soon, which includes Caine.’
‘Others?’
‘There’s six humans who live here currently, well, seven now.’
‘Oh.’
‘I’ll have to keep you out of sight from Caine for a little while. Until you’re a little more adjusted, that is.’
‘Why?’
‘He can be…eccentric, he’ll probably get overexcited if he sees you.’ Kinger sighed and shook his head.
‘He means no harm, really, but I have a feeling he’ll be far too rough with you, doesn’t know his own strength.’
I curled in on myself slightly, Kinger’s brows furrowed a little as his giant eyes roamed over me.
‘I’ll have to introduce you to him later, I’ll try and find him when he’s calmer.’
Suddenly, the dim lighting was stripped away, replaced by an obnoxious, blinding light blasting through the place. I covered my eyes with an arm, grimacing.
‘It’s time already? I could’ve sworn Caine designed the night cycle to be longer…’
I slowly pulled my arm from my eyes, blinking a few times to adjust to the harsh light. When I looked up at Kinger, he was staring at me with those huge eyes, but not with the calm, concerned look as before, but with a blank, neutral expression. He raised his brows, leaning down slightly.
‘Where were we going?’
My pupils darted from side to side awkwardly.
‘The f-’
‘Oh yeah, the fort!’ He exclaimed. He used a finger to pat the top of my head, his touch a little less gentle than before.
This must be what he meant by ‘less aware’.
‘Goooood morning!’ Exclaimed a booming voice from above, making me flinch hard. Looking up, I saw a giant man with dentures for a head had appeared, floating above us both. He was wearing a bright red suit and black trousers.
Kinger looked up at him, ‘Oh, morning Caine!’
That’s Caine?
To my relief, Kinger continued towards the pillow fort. Caine suddenly swooped down until his giant jaws were terrifyingly close. If I had wanted to, I could’ve reached out and touched one of his teeth.
‘What’s this, a new human?’
I clung to Kinger’s robe, but it was too late, a set of giant, gloved fingers wrapped around my body. Caine’s grip was firm, his fingers pressing into my body from all sides and holding me in a fist. He wasn’t hurting me, but he definitely wasn’t being gentle either. He zipped high into the air, making me feel nauseous as I was suddenly moved so rapidly.
‘And so tiny, too!’
He tapped my nose with a fingertip, but he was so rough that it felt more like a smack to the face.
Thanks for reading! All of my fics so far except one have had cuddling, so to make this one different you get the BAD ending! Or the good ending, depending if you like giant Caine or not.
My requests are open, but please read the rules in my masterpost if you intend to send one in. ❤️
I'm currently polishing a tadc g/t oneshot that was requested and I doodled something that reminds me of it (I love giant!Kinger)
