10 years ago we made this six foot clock for the garage. Ty took it down a few days ago to put up shelves on that wall. I took it to put on my craft studio but was trying to figure out how I wanted to tweak it to make it mine. I thought of glitter, paper flowers, painted, decoupaged book pages, then finally decided to make it quilted. I dug out a bunch of orange, cream, and brown scraps and started to assemble them crazy quilt style. I then used scrap batting and some plain backing fabric and did som free motion quilting. After that, I drew around the wood number on the reverse and trimmed it all to fit and glued it on, clamping as needed. Since you could see the batting on the corners, I glued on some silk ribbon. I like how it turned out but there’s still another 14 numbers to do. I may regret my design choice before I get done. #giantclock #largeclock #diyclock #whattimeisit #woodworking #quilting #fabric #scrapfabric #keepsmebusy https://www.instagram.com/p/B_3flIBj4k1/?igshid=lfg1l170nwbc
