The Giant Eland is the largest species of antelope in the world. Found in western and central Africa, this species can reach lengths of up to 3.45 m (11.3 ft.) and heights of 1.9 m (5.9 ft.) tall at the shoulder. The word ‘giant’ however does not refer to their body size but instead the size of the horns which can grow up to 4 ft. long in males.
