Giapo Gelato
One of the best things about being in New Zealand right now is that it is summer. The coldest it’s been since I have been here is 65 degrees, which is NOT cold compared to the East Coast right now. After our sailing trip in the sunshine, a bunch of the students were craving ice cream (but when am I not craving ice cream), so we decided to go to a famous gelato place called Giapo.
And OH MY GOODNESS the ice cream was phenomenal!!! I have never tasted better ice cream in my life, and the experience was just amazing. We got so many samples before choosing our order, and each of our orders looked beautiful. I ordered the “Kiss Kiss Kiss” flavor, which can be easily described as hazelnut chocolate. When I got my order, I didn’t know whether to eat it or kiss it. I did both.
I can’t go back to eating Ben and Jerry’s now that I’ve had a taste of Giapo. It not only looked incredible, it tasted incredible. I’m not sure what I’m going to do when I go back to America! I wonder if Giapo will import...(?)
