Hickey and Gibson have been swirling around my head for the past week. They are quite different characters, especially regarding their aspirations and disdain for rank and class. So I guess this Lino is really a reflection on Gibson’s start embroiled in the finery of the Officers’ wardroom as a steward, compared to his end atop random planks and crates. And yet he is still serving a purpose around a table, even in death.
