“Gieve.”

          “This is not the place to-”  The sentence is left hanging in the air, hot and lofty with the disgust and contempt it held for those who stood in the room. A hand merely grazes Gieve’s arm, holding the musician back from attacking the lot of treacherous Parsian generals - remnants of Kharlan’s men, it seems, from the way they spoke and that Narsus hadn’t entirely forgotten all the faces he’s ever seen since he left court. 

          ‘You are a disgrace to your father and the people of Daylam.’ 

          They are not wrong, in Narsus’ opinion. Shame is an element he took away as he left his estate and disregarded his people, indifferent of how their lives may resume in his absence, or if the new lord of Daylam that would eventually replace him was as kind as he was to his slaves. Treacherous men that may be, but they did not deserve to be punished for speaking the truth.  “The consequences of my actions are mine to bare – your interference are not needed.”

Clank. Clank. Clank.

Junko swore under her breath. The metal around her wrists hit up against the wall violently. She was hoping that they would open by force. Unfortunately the only thing she got out of the action was a few broken pieces of brick and her wrists becoming sore and red. 

Vermilion eyes glanced behind her hearing the sound of foot fall. Shackles clanked as she raised her hands pulling the hood on her head further down over her face to hid red strands of hair. She stood up slowly, carefully, as if just by rising to her feet her pursuers would hear her. Lowering her hands to cover them under her cloak, the red head walked forward. Hastily, she navigated through the alleyway finding the way towards the general public. The sound of bustling people filled her ears, and she hoped that she could blend into the crowd for a little while... at least until she could get the cuffs off of her. She weaved through people keeping her head low, this was not the time to keep caution to the wind even with the swarms of people around her. Her gaze went backwards again in case she saw a glimpse of armor, in case she needed to make a break for it. 

Just as she turned her attention behind her she immediately bumped into someone in front of her. It didn’t hurt or anything, but it did cause her to take a few steps back, her hood falling from her head. A frown went to her face as she turned to face the person only for her eyebrows to raise. “Gieve!” the red head exclaimed looking upon the familiar face.

Starter call with @lestkarrkingofeurope 🎼The evening sun set, to which the moon gladly replaced its opposite. Now all light's source derived from the lanterns that were placed in line down the dark street, casting their light on a wandering figure. Hooded and cloaked, the so called flirt walked at a slower than usual speed. Leather boots hitting the ground at an uneven pace, showing a limp. To match the uneven pace of shoes hitting the ground, came ragged breaths. Upon closer inspection, it would be easy to notice blood stains that covered the wanderer's torso. The figure lurched to the wall, using it as something to hold him upright. Rough shape was one explanation, but seemed to be more of an understatement than anything else. Silently Gieve told himself that acting as a knight in shining armor seemed less desirable, if the her knight donned no shining armor, getting yourself stabbed and when introducing yourself as her knight not to cough up blood instead. Well it was a lesson learned, he supposed. He was roused from his sour thoughts and ripped back to reality by pain and pure exhaustion. The injured musician happened to find a dark dead-end alley with no signs of others. When collapsing onto the ground, Gieve realized the cold realisation that he wasn't alone.

Starter call with @thelovelymusearchive 🎼Not often was it that Gieve came across trouble during his midnight strolls, so tonight was a special night. He was glad that he was never without his sword, as tonight’s special occasion would call for its use. She was being surrounded by others, aggressors and thugs, five of them. All dressed in tattered dirty rags, and as the bard made his silent approach he noticed the girl’s bright red hair. He silently sighed, somehow the princess had gotten herself in trouble. Saving the princess would be harder since the thugs all donned variations of weapons, ragged glass, sticks and rusted blades. He silently cursed after realizing he didn’t have his bow with him. Gieve should have thought out a plan or something similar to one. Although time was of the essence. The man with the glass shard held twisted amusement in his eyes as his weapon would soon find its target. The glass never made it into the princess, rather it found its target on Gieve’s back. Sinking in, the man’s weapon and confidence stolen. “Good evening to you, princess.” He called quietly, grinning and winking. “You shouldn’t be out here…” the musician’s back stung, he ignored it and the blood spreading from the wound. He stared at the man in front of him eyes cold and dark. His sword was out of its sheath in mere moments and the silver blade stabbed through the man’s heart. The other men were enraged at Gieve’s actions, and ran at him weapons in hand. The two men with sticks were the easiest, blade slashed through the wood and men easily. Two left, his attention was on one, which ran at him in blind rage. He stepped out of the way, and that was when he saw the other limping to Yona. His focus on the first man was lost, which lead to being caught in the torso with the rusted blade. That lead to the thug’s loss of balance and Gieve slashed at him, quickly he rushed and ended the last brute’s life as his attention was fully on getting back to the princess. Gieve let go of the sword, no longer able to hold it. Nor would his body hold him upright, and he fell on his hands and knees. Blood soaked around his wounds and dripped down his chin.

Starter Call with @asurayuucentral 🎼If anybody asked Gieve where he was, he wouldn't know. He wasn't even sure how he had arrived in such a weird looking place anyway. It was truly a sight, while the roads were black and white and the buildings grey. Neither showed signs of using stones. Seemingly baffling, it was also apparent that something disastrous had happened. Buildings were destroyed, and roads cracked. Things had been tipped over and others burnt to a crisp. Another weird thing was that there was no sign of people. Nobody. He walked aimlessly down the street, his bow and quiver full of arrows, and sword sheathed. He stayed alert, eyes and ears taking in the new surrounding. Suddenly all his turns and wandering led him to a dark street. Tiring of walking aimlessly, he sat himself down at the back of an alley. It surprised him to hear boots hitting pavement, and figures stop in front of alley way entrance. Their stance and weapons suggested they meant all kinds of trouble. He would assume them to be of high ranks, given their outfits. Something made these enemies different than others Gieve had faced before. Their eyes gleamed, an almost red hue show cased their ravenous eyes. They were not human, and that much was clear. The first of the three ran directly at Gieve, who barely had time to react and take his sword out. With brute force he was almost blown back, and that's when the other two dove into the fight that was already in their favor. Unfortunately he didn't have the power to hold against three of them, let alone one. The musician found himself laying on the ground at the back of the alley way, the heavy scent of blood wafting. His own blood was the only spilt. This is where he would loose it all.
