hi is probably an odd ask but what if adelio and Hugo and mal swapped whumpers?? How would that go and would they get along?? And how would Lilith feel about Hugo and mal and Quinn with adelio?

adelio would probably not care for quinn one bit. they'd scare him more than he'd let on and a lot of their characteristics would remind him of his father and brother's manipulations. quinn would find adelio entertaining for a short while but it wouldn't last long term.

hugo would actually really like lilith and i think she'd actually like him too. hugo would be perfectly willing to play the role of her precious pet. mal, on the other hand, would probably be disgusted and fight as hard as they can, and lilith would be absolutely delighted at the opportunity to break them.

Since Mal and Hugo are pets, does Quinn make them do things (besides going in a cage) that are associated with pets? Like wear a collar, know certain positions based on commands, etc?

Quinn does make them wear collars! They both start out with shock collars, but pretty quickly, Hugo gets a nice leather one instead, and he also has a whole collection of fancy ones for special occasions that Quinn has gifted them throughout his captivity. Mal has, unfortunately, never progressed past the shock collar, unless it's for an even worse collar.

Quinn's also taught both of them some basic commands (sit, come, fetch, etc.) although some take better to them than others...

how did quinn get hugo and mal to a place where quinn can cuff them/lock them in a dog crate and they won’t leave?

i'm not quite sure what you're asking😅

in that last drabble, hugo was cuffed to the bed and mal was padlocked in the crate. they couldn't exactly leave, even if they wanted to.

Oh absolutely. They go all out: multiple presents, all of Hugo's favorite foods and sweet treats, and leniency with Mal.

what are hugo and mal’s rules are they the same or different

Mal's rules are basically much stricter versions of Hugo's.

Hugo must ask permission to get on furniture, try new recipes, go upstairs, go downstairs, go outside, change his appearance in any way, and anything else he's uncertain of. He also must remain quiet and soft, both with his feet and voice, and he must finish all his daily responsibilities before doing anything for pleasure.

Mal is not allowed to talk back, fight, leave the basement without Quinn's approval, eat without Quinn's approval, change their appearance, make any loud or disruptive noises, and basically anything else that could cause some annoyance for Quinn.

what were some of the most noticeable things that changed when the gifted kids went from being a two-person household to a three-person one? did quinn's behaviour change because now it wasn't only the two of them?

Quinn definitely got a lot more possessive of Hugo and a lot more strict in general. Having Mal also allowed a side of them that wasn't around Hugo out, one where they could be as violent or cruel as they wanted. Quinn also made it very clear that they would not hesitate to use the two of them against each other.
