lastqueenofnumenor's Tar-Miriel takes my breath away with her love and anger and the beauty with which she's written; her mun's Nienna, giftoftears, leaves me wishing the Valie of compassion existed in our world, and, though I'm too shy to talk to the mun herself, anyone who writes such muses with such skill cannot but be a marvellous person!

[I want to dive into a pile of giant kitties and burrow under them and never leave. ;_; ]
((Did you mean: how I feel every day? HA!
Hello, dears. Perhaps you might enjoy this. I do not think my brother will miss it from his gardens. *deposits jumbo-kitty-sized basket of high-quality catnip*
*a loud chorus of yowls and purrs and assorted chirps and growls is all that can be discerned in response, as ten cats of varying sizes dive deep into the basket and emerge staggering and stoned*

Hello, my darling. How do you fare?
"I fare well on this night dear Nienna. For a while all is pleasantly still. How are you doing?"
What are you both doing...?

[I am whitey mcChristiandork so I don't want to be appropriative in any way, but I am 100% down for anything in any way I can do to be supportive. I guess the first question is if we have any hijabi RPers who ought to be the ones speaking out.]
//It's always a bit sad that this conversation does get drowned out by anti-racism conversations all the time... I mean, it overlaps, yeah, but the stuff a black person in the west has to live through is very different from what a hijabi woman has to live through (not better or worse, mind you, but not the same issue).
And that's not only true for fandom. I hardly see any discussion about Muslim realities on tumblr in general. I mean, I guess that might also be because of how skewed tumblr is towards America (if there was more influence by Continental European people, there'd sure be more of a discussion about this), but it's still sad...
Hmm, idk :/ Since it's not that big of an issue on the net, I don't really know any strategies to make diverse religious backgrounds more visible either? Ugh :/
Also I really have to go to bed now, so, nighty!
