You have cat named Gigel? I had to do a double take because my friend also has a cat named like that and I honestly didn't think it was so common xD. I hope the little furry bastard is okay, and that your day's been good!

thing is, gigel used to be the standard name for stray cats bc me and my dad like to humanize animals (lizards are florica, spiders are maricel - it started with animals we feared so that we would not be afraid of them anymore). so when we first met gigel we didn’t know he was gonna become our cat, and it was normal and went without question that we’d call him gigel… until he went into the house more and more and, one faithful night of boboteaza when the ger was bad, we kept him inside for the night and he officially became our pet

but yeah tldr i think human romanian names for animals are rly funny and genuinely recommend it

I can’t believe there are STILL confusion over who left and people wanting ‘sources’ when the show itself CONFIRMED it like 5 days ago. (I know not everyone read/speak Chinese but you’d think theres enough of us out there to spread the right info.) At the end of episode 4 of Idol Producer, while showing the trainee rankings, 3 individuals had the word “退赛” (retired from competition) next to their names. They were 84. Li Xinyan, 85. Wang Youchen and 92. GIGEL.

Xinyan left due to health issues as stated by his company. Gigel left due to ‘personal reasons’ according to his fansite. Youchen is under the same company as Gigel, there is yet to be an official statement from their company regarding both their departures. (There are rumors online of the two possibly being involved in a violent altercation, but is yet to be confirmed.)   Also Song Shuijiao was another trainee that left before the show aired due to past scandals (he was the blurred guy seen in episode 3). NO other trainees have been confirmed to have left other than these four. And because of this, many viewers now believe a total of 36 trainees will be eliminated instead of 40 on the upcoming episode.  So for future reference, when they show the ranking ladder at the end of each episode, if you see (退赛) next to a name, it means they have left.

hi, do you know what the personal reasons may be for gigel leaving? i read somewhere on weibo that it was because he cheated on his gf with another trainee's girlfriend? and do you know if zuo ye may leave/for what reason?

I personally wouldn’t read too much into all the rumors until proven. So do take them with a big grain of salt. First off the whole Gigel cheating thing was something netizens dug up weeks ago when the show first started. People went around looking into each trainee’s ‘dark past’ hoping for scoops. One of the things they found was that apparently Gigel has a cheating history, and got exposed by his girlfriend on social media. I personally don’t think its related to anything now and why he left as it was something that happened awhile ago. 

The reason why people think Gigel and Youchen had a fight is because a while go rumors of eyewitness account said they saw/heard Youchen fighting with a trainee that was using an ‘English name’. For some reason people thought and even reported that it was J-one (even Justin’s name got brought up lol). Now that its confirmed that Gigel was the one that left along with Youchen, people believe it was those two. No one knows for sure the reason why they fought (or even how many people were involved), but the topic of ‘cheating’ seems to be popular. 

As for Zuo Ye, there are rumors that he had a fight with fellow company trainee Jing Peiyao. To be honest I think this only got brought up because the topic of trainees fighting became a thing amongst netizens after the Gigel and Youchen drama, otherwise I doubt many would have paid attention to it. The show didn’t list Zuo Ye as one of the trainees that left, so we’ll see what happens at the end of the upcoming episode. There could also be a chance that he is among the many that gets eliminated, so it wouldn’t matter anyway.  

Let’s not forget there are close to 100 guys on this show, living together, working together, I wouldn’t be surprised if arguments/fights happens on a daily basis (not all resulting in getting kicked off the show of course). But let’s not dramatize every little thing unless the show feels its serious enough to take action. :)
