G: Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?

Mostly I write it chronologically but if I’m struck by inspiration for a particular scene, I will write ahead. I think it’s actually really helpful because I have a guideline for my story if that makes sense?

I know how you feel. I always feel weird when buying Kindle books. D: I still buy them, because I got a Kindle for Christmas and of course I'm gonna use it, but I side-eye the site every time.

I can actually maybe help with this! Your local library may offer e-books (probably through Overdrive - they have a monopoly here in the States, although I’m not sure about everywhere else - and I encourage you to only check out things if you are sure you’ll read them b/c libraries pay an exorbitant amount for a fixed number of checkouts and then have to re-buy the things), and libraries are generally like ‘you want a book? :D WE CAN HELP WITH THAT!’ no matter what format you would like the book in. And then you don’t have to have that lurking ‘ugh why do I not own the things I am paying for why is the world like this’ feeling! :D

Yeah, I hear ya loud and clear. -.-

I just... like, they literally could not have come up with a scheme more likely to make me go, ‘I feel almost certain someone will eventually make an open-source version of this thing, or that I can access it on a computer I do not own.’ Or alternately, make me inclined to pick up a Totally Legitimate Version somewhere else. Just sayin’.

Thank you! I’m unreasonably pleased with how the hat turned out. It has its problems, but for a first try I think I did okay! I can’t wait to start on something new. I have some rainbow yarn that should come sometime today that might be my next project. Or maybe I’ll just start the kids’ hats for christmas. We’ll see!

I haven’t tried to draw myself in a really long time. We used to have to do self-portraits every year in elementary school art class as a test of our general drawing skills, and I miss doing that. Maybe I should give it a shot.

🎃Witch: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

When I was a kid, the 1000% answer to this would have been shapeshifting. Specifically, turning into any animal I wanted. While I still think this would be extremely cool, my current hands-down answer is teleportation: short and long-distance, and with anything/anyone I am touching (and intending to take along) included along with me. WHO CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN FOR ME.

🎃Haunted House: Would you prefer to live in the city or the country?

Ooof, this is a tough question, and less academic than I would’ve thought right now. I like the quiet and the stars and the space in the country. I like the walking and the options and the people-watching in the city. I would prefer to live where the people I care about live.
