I think these could work really well.

I think Maya or Gill, or possibly even both, could work as a major support system for Aiden after the events of Sky City. What I imagine happens after Jesse and his friends leave that world, is a new civilization is built and the Blazerods play a major part in the rebuilding of Sky City (more like Ground City amiright? 🤪) Anyways I think the three put in a lot of effort in making up for what they did, and I wouldn't doubt that it takes multiple years for people to begin trusting them again. They're felons, and have a previous track record for griefing and vandalism and well, attempted murder. I think for a long time, the most they are going to have is each other. It leaves a lot of time for them to really sit down and think about their actions while being withheld in a prison of some sort. Maybe there comes a point where the people of Sky City need help defending themselves from monsters, and since the Blazerods are kind of the only ones with combat experience aside from Isa, Milo, and some others, they could really use an extra hand at keeping people safe. This can be a turning point for the three of them where they put in an effort to show they can help the people, and bond with each other while doing it. Either of the ships work in this case, or you could imagine the Blazerods as some nice little polycule. I think they are able to start a new life here and maybe some day, make up for their actions. But I also think that the portal out of the world was covered up by Isa. I feel like, since she's a protector of her people, she wouldn't want them to face whatever may lay on the other side and so she ends up covering the portal out of their world. The Blazerods really don't need to return back to their original world anyways. Not when they have a chance at building a new life together here. Maybe they could all become guards, or something like that? I dunno. Hope this answer is satisfactory.
