Senators accuse Saudi crown prince of complicity in Khashoggi murder

Following a briefing from the CIA director, lawmakers said the evidence of Mohammed bin Salman’s involvement in the assassination was overwhelming.

My, my, my-if this doesn’t frost the Donald’s coconuts, I don’t know what will. He just about explicitly told them to leave it alone, it was done, walk away, etc. and here they go digging in his garbage, so to speak and dragging everything out in the daylight again. You just can’t get good help these days.  Considering that fact checkers have documented >5000 lies, factually incorrect statements, and what appear to be intentional misdirections from this guy since January 2017 (and before), I’m more inclined to believe the research done by the FBI and CIA. Why? Because, quite frankly, those agencies don’t give a rat’s ass who the President is or what party holds sway in Congress. Their sworn duty is to enforce the law as written. Sure they have individual preferences-we all do. Mueller, for example, is a registered Republican. James Comey is as well, yet he was appointed to head the FBI by a Democrat. They just don’t let that get in the way. Law enforcement should be like that. 

So the fact that Gina Haspel, current FBI Director, brought this to the Senate and spelled it out IN SPITE OF the fact that the President who appointed her had said that speaks volumes. She knows the risks. She spoke the truth. She could be looking for a job tomorrow. Good for her. 

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) speaking out on this? He generally kowtows to Trump so something is up. So do the rest of them. Watch carefully. Something is in the wind.
