After getting the little ones fed and taken care of, she scooped up some of the breakfast she saved for the other. Truthfully she was expecting them to join her and the kids in the dinning room but she also understood why he didn’t get out of bed. So once the kids were situated, Ginevra dismissed herself to get the plate for him and walked it up for him. Though she couldn’t help the innocent admiring smile from spreading across her cheeks. Walking lightly over to the bed she placed the food on the counter and carefully crawling onto the bed and hovered over him, leaning in to lay butterfly kisses along his jaw. “Babe it’s time to wake up.” She said but never stopped placing those small kisses along his jaw.

Secret Santa

It was 5 days away and considering Asher had been the one person to have never abandon her, she went into town and grab a few things for him. Decided it was nice to get him something besides uncooked meat and tried to kill him. Really she owed him a lot, he is a good friend to her and she couldn’t ask for more. She got him a sketch book and was knitting him a picture of a landscape of the Silver Lake. She wasn’t good with a pencil and paper but she was pretty handy with a few pieces and fabric and some needles. Another aspect she got from her mom. It wasn’t much but she hoped he liked it. She tried to be as quiet as possible as she sneaked into the room and placed his gifts on a nearby chair. She left the room unnoticed and she couldn’t help but to smile at her small victory. 

“Asher!!! Breakfast. Come get some before I eat it all.”

It seemed to be more peaceful as the sun was setting lower and lower. Or it could possibly be that she was getting tired and the warmth of the other comforted her greatly. She was grateful that they were by her, she felt as if she couldn’t trust anyone else besides her. Even when she felt their finger trace one of her smaller scars left on her arm. It was when she was trying to save her father from the merman’s grip. The mer scratched her in time before Ginevra could get him off and got her father and herself to shore safely. It was a constant reminder of her failure - she allowed her father to die that day. Sure he wasn’t drowned but he was badly beaten up….it was her fault. 

She grabbed the other’s hand and placed a light kiss on their knuckles. “Nymphs aren’t as friendly as they appear to be at times.” She smiled at the other- lifting her head up so she could actually see them. She was just thankful that they only found the small scar from that day and not the bigger one that laid nastily on her upper stomach.
