These gingerbread loaves are perfect for the holiday season or any time you crave the warm, spicy flavors of gingerbread. They're easy to make and even easier to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup molasses. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 cup hot water. 1 egg. 1 tsp ground ginger. 1 tsp ground cinnamon. 1/2 tsp ground cloves. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp baking powder.
Instructions: Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and grease your loaf pans. Melt the butter and add the sugar to a large mixing bowl. Mix until it's smooth. Mix in the egg and molasses until everything is well mixed. Mix the flour, baking soda, salt, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger in a different bowl using a whisk. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing them in with the hot water every so often. Mix the dry ingredients in at the beginning and end, until they are just combined. If you have loaf pans ready, pour the batter into them. Put it in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. The gingerbread loaves should cool in the pans for 10 minutes. After that, take them out and let them cool completely on a wire rack. Cut it up and enjoy once it's cool!
