Happy October!! It's time again for another Halloween DTIYS! This is a parody of the cover of Carter Beats the Devil, a fantastic novel. Here they're playing cards, but you could change the game! This year there will be a prize for my favorite entry. The deadline is Halloween, and the winner will get a big bundle of prints, stickers, and other fun stuff by yours truly. You can draw, write a short fic, cosplay, craft, anything you like!

My entry for @gingerhaole DTIYS! I have no knowledge of card games, but I saw aces and made it more ace flag coloured!

Artist’s rambling under the cut

Making this was quite a journey. At first I wanted to paint it on black paper with gouache. The first sketch didn’t work out and I settled on my usual white paper and watercolours combi. There were some things that worked out pretty well, but some not so much. I feel like I totally messed up the background (that’s why I cut the piece so much) and I had to work around the colours a lot. The details show the pieces I like a lot.
