Anticipation

Seriously missing my best friend today. Thankfully, I get to see her just a week from tomorrow, but somehow, that makes me miss her even more.

Ginger has legitimately been there with me through everything, and I pretty much consider her my sister. We spent time together almost every day this summer, and we haven't seen each other in almost nine weeks. It's so weird to talk to her on the phone and say "talk to you soon", rather than "I'll see you tomorrow", or "I'll see you in a few minutes".

We joke a lot about the distance that we are apart. If I say I'm going somewhere, she'll say that she'll meet me there or ask if I could pick her up. We laugh, but it's hard sometimes to think about it. 7 hours is a long way to be from your best friend, who you've grown so close to over the past couple years.

I miss my best friend/sister, and I cannot wait to see her soon, and I can't wait until I'm home for a month over Christmas, and we can go back to life as usual...sitting quietly on tumblr, laughing, and just enjoying each others company.

As much as I love it up here, and I love my new friends, there will always be a part of me stuck at home in little St. Johns, with my family and friends there.
