For people hungry for Volo/Gingko Guild lore, the third bullet on this list is about the Gingko Guild.
"People of the North (name undecided)
They are a group of traveling merchants who come from the continent across the sea. They can be found in various places.
Long ago, they settled in the Sinnoh region, where they built Snowpoint Temple and Spear Pillar."

I wonder if we'll get "Totally a Normal Guy™, no bad intentions here!" Volo or if they'll just go straight-up and introduce him as the unhinged godhood seeker he becomes later in the game when they add Volo to Masters.
Or perhaps "weird Arceus man pretending to be a Totally Normal Guy" Volo, at least until we happen across other Legends characters or Cynthia who know what he's actually like.
Volo and Emmet meeting
excuse me i NEED to know more about the Ginkgo Guild, game.
These people who live in Jubilife village are outsiders; and the Diamond Clan and the Pearl Clan are cold-war feuding. The Gingko Guild existed here before Jubilife village, they are native to Hisui... but they are not involved in any fighting. They prefer to remain unaffiliated, on the sidelines, supplying both clans, correct? That’s how they survive?
So... um. They’re like, their own people? A very large extended family? Both? Since they call themselves a guild and are pretty friendly, I’m assuming that anyone can join, but the resemblance between sellers suggest that there’s a core bloodline involved.
What is their culture like? Volo seems to have believed in Sinnoh for most of his life. If this is normal, which he was certainly acting like it was, then which Sinnoh do they believe in? ... ... Or is that part of it. That the Gingko Guild does not, and cannot, settle on one portrayal of Sinnoh for fear of losing their customers - and thus accepts both versions without question? That sounds like it’d cause Volo some inner conflict.
Also where fuck do they live ‘cause I didn’t find any campgrounds anywhere. They have to be somewhere, even if they’re nomads, right. Where. Show me the money lads. The coin boys. The green team
