Aghhh what a questionnnn, thamk you angellll<333 My faves tend to alternate depending on what I'm currently interested in n my mood n stuff, but I think one relatively constant fave is the Ginkgo tree (Ginkgo biloba). For one they're just stunning trees with the most gorgeous unique branching pattern, and they're incredibly resilient and long lived to boot. And I adore the vibrant shade of yellow their leaves turn in autumn, which they then proceed to shed in near unison, in such a short period of time, all to transform the ground into a lil' yellow carpet. But I think the most astonishing thing is how long they've persisted on this planet relatively unchanged. The first members of the genus Ginkgo appeared in the Middle Jurassic (~170 MYA) and bore remarkable similarities to the modern Ginkgo, which is now the last living species in its order. Honorable mention also to the Strawberry Tree (Arbutus unedo), which is a member of the Lusitanian Flora, a group of around 15 species that are native to only southwest Ireland and the Iberian peninsula, but not to England or Western France despite suitable habitats existing. The mystery as to the origin of their current distribution fascinates me, plus the strawberry tree just looks super cool with its glossy evergreen foliage, lychee-esque fruits and orange, peeling bark. I also find the Annonaceae family hella interesting, and Magnoliids in general, but I think I've rambled on plenty here tehehe:333
