Fancy Bespoke Insults (and Scary Spoons)
One day, when I was teaching a particularly boring study hall, I taught my students how to insult in (pseudo) Latin.
Start with a root, and add a suffix. You can find good roots from a list of phobias.
So let’s take the word “Koutaliaphobia.” Fear of spoons. We know “phobia” is fear. So the root is koutalia. The final “a” can be dropped when adding the suffix, if it makes it easier to pronounce.
