Strength on Monday and Wednesday again. Saturday’s run will probably be 4 or 5 miles instead of the 28 minute thing.
I finally stopped playing FFXIV long enough to actually get caught up with some posts and queuing and such. I’ll spare you the gory details, but suffice it to say, the Dragonsong War is over and I kicked major butt. Take that, Nidhogg.
If I do any weights this week, it will be in the later part. I slept on my neck the wrong way Saturday night and have barely been able move my head for the last few days. Slinging around heavyish chunks of metal didn’t seem too wise.
This weather!
It's been in the low 30s this past week and I'm DYING. Or at least coping poorly. I was due for a run yesterday and decided it would either have to be early (pre-5am) or late (past my usual 10pm bedtime). Neither option was ideal but I chose later on in the hopes we'd get a little evening rain. No rain, but I'm sure my sweat helped water a few blades of grass. My gipis plan called for 6.25k at a 7:12 pace. I finished a minute faster than called for, which given the heat wasn't too shabby. I saw one skunk on the run. I used to like skunks until a family of them invaded my yard last summer. I enjoyed watching them, but got the heebie jeebies every time I had to check the yard for them late at night before letting Kai out. Oh! My knee seems to have recovered fully. And I'm back on the strength training wagon too. Just gotta keep up with stretches this week and hope all goes well with the LadiesFest 8k run this weekend. Stay cool folks!
Weights on Monday and Wednesday as has become habit. I’m getting to where I like starting out the week with weights because it makes Monday feel like my bitch and makes the beginning of the week that much better.
The Festival people finally mailed out the race registration forms and I’m all ready to pop it in the mailbox once the holiday weekend is over. The race is a little over a month away and I’m so excited!
Strength training on Monday and Wednesday again. This is the last week of school in the area, so there won't be any more substituting for the next few months and I can focus solely on training and gaming and keeping my teaching certification up to date.
Met some interesting characters on a post apocalyptic census #zombiesrun
Note to self: People are even weirder about answering personal questions after the apocalypse.
Yeah... Wednesday’s strength training didn’t happen on Wednesday. Plan is to do it on Friday morning.
I thought this would be much harder than it was when I worked out that the 8:49 pace was equal to 6.8 mph. It wasn’t as bad as I originally thought, thankfully. My Saturday workout is going to be a color run with my neice and SiL, so that should be really fun.
Received a very special - if strange - transmission from Canada #zombiesrun
Really glad I’m not the only one thinking she sounded a bit... off. It sounded like one of those things that happen when you rearrange the audio of a speech and it doesn’t flow right and it’s just weird. Curious.
By the time I got to the end of the 15 minute section, I was so ready to be done. It’s getting easier, which makes me extremely happy.
