If one day you will ever find yourself at the Girac hospital in Angoulême (I really hope not, please, stay safe and healthy 😉) from now on you can find a 3,68 x 2,10 meters big mural painting in the main entrance that yours truly has freshly made! 👯⁠ Swipe to see the details and few pictures IRL! 🙃 ⁠ I always loved books like the ones of Richard Scarry, miniature cities of model railways and last but not the least, the micro-world of the Sylvanians families. Even if I'm an adult lady, if I see one of these picture books or a miniature city I could spend hours in trying to figure out every single detail. That's why it was an absolute pleasure to invent a little "Angoulême in miniature", in which patients in the waiting room can relax, pass the time in watching the mural painting and say: "Oh! I know this place!" or "Look how cute that dog is" and maybe think about something else rather that their health problems. I hope that patients, nurses, doctors and everybody who has to go or work in the hospital can have, just for one teeny-tiny moment, a little sparkle of joy, a reminder that good days will be there again. 🌻⁠ ⁠ The project was promoted by the @cite_de_la_bande_dessinee and the Centre Hospitalier d'Angoulême, and the printings were beautifully made by Photiplans. ⁠ ⁠ A huge huge "Thank you" to Elisa Laget (I’m with her in one of the last pictures of this post) who coordinated this project with precision and kindness, I really enjoyed working side to side with you! ✨⁠ ⁠ Ps.
