Tell us a little bit about yourself!
Hi there! My name is Kaitlyn, I'm 25 years old, and I have a basketball game tomorrow. Not really. If you’re in the SoCal area, you’ll see me at a convention for sure in cosplay and until recently, there’s a potential you saw me handing out snacks and drinks to artists as a division head with other Katelyn (if you’re in the area in Artist Alley, you’ll know).
How long have you been drawing?
God… I genuinely don’t remember when I wasn’t drawing. If you need an age, probably 2 years old? I never put the pencil (now tablet pencil) down since I began. I am so proud of my fellow mods—Sarah and Tanya—for their work behind the scenes and their beautiful pieces, as well as all the amazing and lovely creators that love that good good boy and his gang(s)!
How long have you been doing zines?
I have never contributed to a zine before now! I’ve definitely purchased some, and have several on preorder currently though! They’re such a great way for communities to band together.
Tell us about your FMA/B Experience! When did you first watch/read?
My first FMA experience was way back in.. 2005? I turned on the TV to Adult Swim, and saw the new episode of Tim Marcoh in the rain (I want to say it was episode 14 of the 2003 anime). I immediately ran to Borders and started consuming what they had on their shelves of FMA. My first real Greed experience though was October 2007, shortly after AniMagic. I opened up volume six, read to the end, and thought “wow, who is THAT hot piece of ass??”. The rest is history. I’ve made so many amazing friends like Tanya and Sarah through Greed love, and I couldn’t be more thankful to Arakawa for making such a quality series with such a hot dude.
What inspired your piece for the Devil’s Nest Zine?
I have wanted to do a zine and/or make content for Greed and the Devil’s Nest gang for at least a good 8 years now, but was always self conscious about my art. I am so thankful that I met two amazing folk that had the same passion that also wanted to make a project to what I had dreamed of. I just... Greed and all the chimeras need love, yknow? (Bido is a sweet angel and I Love Him)
