A very nice thing to have for characters you're going to be drawing incredibly frequently is a sheet of expressions, to get used to how they emote! The best thing you can do for expressions is to focus on character rather than cliché, of course, but it sure is a fun exercise! Here's some line art out of the in-progress expression sheet for one of our protagonists, Girdie duPont.
