Plot-wise, 5x15, 5x16, and 5x18 are crucial viewing IMO (mostly for Kitty in 5x15 and 16! But there’s more to the Shinwell plot in 5x18). As I just wrote, I actually enjoyed 5x19. Yes it’s a filler but it has some great Joan moments and some great Joan x Sherlock friendship moments. 

I’m not a good person to ask about season 4, I haven’t done a rewatch and all I can think of with season 4 is the badass Joan moments in 4x01 and 4x02, 4x04 and 4x11 for the Gina Cortes arc, the Lin episodes (4x19 and 4x20), and of course the one Lucy directs, 4x22.

I haven't read the new Archie, but I'm glad it's good and I adore the new jughead series (mostly cause hello an ace character yay I'll take any representation) but wow that sucks about Betty and Veronica. I'm amazed it's only had 2 issues out like what the hell.

Yeah it’s pretty good! There were some kinda cliched storylines (Betty the tomboy being grabbed by girls who want to give her a makeover etc) but it’s Archie. Cliche’s kinda gotta be a given and the art and writing keeps it pretty charming.

All the characters in the main Archie title mostly feel like themselves, but Jughead is especially amazing. There’s a part where Archie is spacing out and thinking of Veronica or something and an oncoming car is hurtling toward them and Jughead just jerks him out of the way of instant death even really looking. This is just like a totally average day for Jughead as Archie’s best friend and he’s so over it but also low-key dedicated to making sure Archie doesn’t friggin’ kill himself  AND YUP. THAT’S THEM ALL RIGHT. God I adore them. 

The delay thing is sadly not uncommon with big name creators in comics and Adam Hughes is a pretty big name. If you’ve got star power, editors are fine letting you waaaaay overextend your deadlines. 

It’s particularly a problem for Marvel and their big events in the past. It seems to be both a combo of biting off more than they can chew/poor management that often leads to these titles that are supposed CHANGE THE MARVEL UNIVERSE FOREVER being SO significantly delayed that other shared universe titles are showing like, the after effects and consequences of the event when readers still haven’t gotten to read what led to them.

(Granted, I think stuff like Afterlife with Archie had pretty significant delays too, but that’s not a main title and actually had solid quality, apparently)

Even as Moriarty accused Joan of getting too close, she held up the handle-end of her paintbrush between them and took another step forward so that the point pushed painfully into Joan’s breastbone. Moriarty looked over Joan’s head and jerked a nod at someone behind her, who grabbed Joan’s arms before she could push away, only to let go with a painful squeeze, leaving Joan in the same spot once more. It didn’t make sense, toying with her the same way over and over; even Moriarty must get bored with this pointless game, and finally realization dawned. This is a dream, you don’t have to figure this out. She’s not actually here. This isn’t happening. Joan woke up scowling, her forehead tight and her teeth clenched. Her arms ached with rotator cuff strain. Third night in a row Moriarty had stalked her sleep, and at this point Joan was ready to consider that reason enough to get her back in prison. She took a deep breath and released it forcefully.

“That works better if you actually relax the muscles in your face first.” The room was dark, but she could picture Sherlock draped over the awful vinyl couch installed where the second bed would normally be, if the motel hadn’t “upgraded” its rooms to “business suites.” Joan squeezed her eyes against unwanted tears and rolled over to face the ceiling. She adjusted her shoulder blades down and flat under her back, and stretched both arms out to opposite edges of mattress, wincing as her biceps protested. From this angle even Sherlock’s night vision wasn’t good enough to be able to see her open her mouth wide in a lion pose stretch, but he would certainly hear the pops and clicks as she shifted her tight jaw from side to side.

That is, if he were actually here.
