Girlkernel: a term for when one's girlhood is at the core of one's identity, and manages the 'operations' of the other parts of one's identity. IE: girlhood influencing attraction, girlhood influencing gender quality, etc. This can include girlhood managing all of one's identity, most parts, some parts, etc. Ranging scale!
For @mantra-repeated's women's history month event! Day 1's coining prompt is: computing, programming, and/or mathematics. Apologies if I'm late, but I believe I'm still within the time-frame? The experience part of the event's question is: What is your experience with girlhood, femininity, etc? My experience is that... it's there! Intertwined with the rest of my identity and just is part of me, I suppose. In the way the sky is blue and time keeps ticking, I just... am a girl, woman, what have you. Despite having other aspects of gender identity, and not-so gender identity, my girlhood lays underneath and makes up the groundwork foundation of the whole self that is me. I'm not particularly feminine, but tend to end up perceived that way anyway.
