Male Red Shafted Northern Flicker - Probably my favorite bird. I love his red moustache. He sat at the feeder for 28 minutes. Note his tongue sticking out in the second photo

Red Breasted Nuthatch
Grackle Gallery - There are so many! But they are pairing off and building nests. Many have returned to the previous years’ nest locations, which is pretty exciting (for me, anyway).
Males Red Shafted Northern Flicker - This guy is a local resident with his Queen, but this is the first close up photo of him in a long time. A snowy day provided flat lighting, so there was little contrast, and his coloring was really enhanced. In the second photo, a red winged black board photobomb on the right.

Little gray balls of fluff - Bushtits are year round residents that come to the feeders in flocks. I love the way they chatter among themselves.
