Aaaaand we are all caught up now.
Picture taken Nov 21, 2020. On the white now, all colour (except for three mysterious stitches I missed in the head) are done. Should be finishing it up some time in the next day or so.

Bottom pic is from yesterday (Nov 20, 2020). I only have 2 colours left after the one I'm on: dark green and bright white.
Apparently I forgot to take some pictures along the way...
So, I've been working on a cross stitch for my sister in law either for her birthday or Christmas (bday in January), and after making sure she doesn't follow me on here, I thought I'd post progress pics.
Note: I ended up picking out the tiny Canada looking island and the country eating rat part about five times before I got it right. Totally my fault, probably shouldn't have been trying to cross stitch black at night from a poorly printed chart (from a printer running out of ink to boot).

This is actually a pretty good pattern. 15 colours, and the DMC only colour chart gives approximate meterage, # stitches, # backstitches. 5 different types of charts to choose from- b&w symbol, colour symbols, colour only, colour with white symbols, colour X's.
This is a challenging pattern. I worked it on 18 Aida. Lots of single stitches stranded in the middle of nowhere, but worth it for how the colours end up blending in the sunset/sunrise (I honestly can't remember which it is).
Fiiiiiiiiiiinished!! (Nov 23, 2020)
I draped it over my dog to take a pic, lol. I *just* noticed on the left that there's a couple of the Rex's fingers peeking up from behind the title.
Now I just have to find a frame and decide if I want to attempt to mat it (probably no). Washing, stretching and ironing come first though. Stretching will be a first for me though. I've never done that. My grandma always did it for me, but she passed in April.
Bifold wallets in progress. I make them from men’s shirts and other recycled clothing, which is a great way to help the environment and save a cow. Plus a cotton wallet is fresh and cool in the summer and doesn’t slip out of your pocket like leather. You can now choose your pocket color when ordering for a custom piece.
I love getting special requests from buyers. Her only request was that it was three different grey fabrics. So I used the last scrap from a grey linen shirt and mixed it with these. Like it?
