Holiday Gift from Africa

I received such a wonderful holiday gift from Africa -a beautiful handmade mask and the letter from a young fellow yoga teacher @africayogaproject thanking us for the donation we made from our yoga classes in April. She said our money provided her the monthly stipend and food for families during this pandemic time. How we spend our money is sometime more important than how we earn it. When the choice is given, spend our money in the community, in the local businesses, and to the people in need. Put the faces to where the money goes...and it will come back to you the same way. My teacher said that your actions are not what matters, but the intention behind the actions determines your Karma.

Every song in the mix represents both a slight step forward, and another challenge in life. We’ve been going through many changes and each phase came with a set of new challenges. Our outer realities may not seem always bright and promising, and yet we are holding the space for each other to feel the sense of hope and promise, we train our mind to better handle the inner challenges, and recognize outer challenges as extension of inner ones.

I’m so thrilled to bring in another amazing brain 🧠 @u.g.e.p next week!  Yuji's mix was crafted with organic and tribal sounds which inspired me to think of cultural evolution... can we integrate our different cultures, traditions, and values, into one forward going path? I felt that I was about to advance as a human being just by listening to the mix, which may have happened! 😆
