Erik Raadal (June 18, 1905 - 1941) was a Danish painter who studied at the Royal Academy under Sigurd Wandel and Ejnar Nielsen. He was a founder member of the artists' association Corner.
Raadal almost exclusively painted the town of Gjern and its surroundings - landscapes and town scenes, from the late 30s also with stylized figures in the foreground.
He died very young from tubercular meningitis, but married the year before his death. His wife, Ellen Raadal, who was also a landscape artist, moved to Thy and lived for decades in the tiny town of Krik, a mile and a half from my house.
