Dangerous Queen EP3
"Car scene"
Queendom EP5&EP6&EP7
I really like the writing in this series. It’s done in such a subtle way that you really have to pay attention to what the characters are saying, and I find that both interesting and fun.
The main characters each have their own genuine personality, with unique quirks and mannerisms. The actresses portray them so well that you can immediately tell who’s who without any confusion.
I absolutely love the character of Print: she’s endearing, loving, and willing to do anything for Rey. What I find especially adorable is that even when they’re already a couple, she still remains shy and positively flustered around Rey.
At first glance, Rey might seem a bit colder, but in reality, she’s just shy and reserved and that’s perfectly fine. What I really appreciate is that, between the two, she’s often the most honest about her feelings and the one who takes the first step in important conversations. Like in the scene where they confess their feelings, or when she admits to being a little envious of Print’s beauty such a beautiful scene, by the way.
I also love how the series shows that both of them are on a journey of learning to love and accept themselves. I actually think that’s why the spell didn’t work: Print is blossoming as an actress and living a life without financial struggles in Rey’s body, while Rey is finding her creative freedom and breaking free from her parents’ pressure especially her mother’s while in Print’s body.
As for the second couple, Saifon and Wanmai, I feel like they deserve more development. It’s clear they want to get back together, but Wanmai keeps acting cold and hurtful, even though she also longs to reconcile. I’m curious to see how this will unfold, especially after watching the trailer for episode 8.
Finally, I wonder what the main conflict will be for all the couples. Honestly, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be… Rey’s mother!
I'm so glad we're fast moving into an era where every month there's a GL series. I've been waiting for this for a long time, so give me some wacky scenarios with women in the foreground!
Poisonous Love EP2
Episode 2 really made me appreciate Pat’s character. Sure, she spends the whole episode teasing and harassing our cardiologist Prem, but honestly, it was so entertaining and I absolutely love their “grumpy cat x golden retriever” dynamic.
I especially loved the scene where people try to unsettle Pat by pointing out that she’s a lesbian, hoping to make her feel bad about it. Her reaction was priceless: she just doesn’t care. That’s exactly what defines her character she has nothing to lose, nothing to prove, and it’s hilarious. Even when she flirts with Prem right in front of her mother, she keeps that same fearless attitude.
I also think Pat and Nam’s relationship is going to have a huge impact on the story. Their bond is so toxic, especially for Pat. Every time she tries to pull away, Nam comes back, guilt-tripping her. And when you realize how much Pat has sacrificed just to be her manager, it hits even harder. Pat herself even tells Nam that she didn’t need to do all of that and she’s absolutely right.
As for Prem, everyone keeps trying to guilt-trip her for refusing to get married. But let’s not forget: her fiancé cheated on her and got another woman pregnant. She had every right to walk away. It’s actually incredibly brave of her. And yet, it shows so clearly how our patriarchal society works always expecting women to put up with the unacceptable.
All in all, this series is both fun and thought-provoking. I honestly can’t wait for episode 3!
Rollercoaster EP6
For once, I’m not even going to complain about the episodes being too short. Honestly, I couldn’t have handled a love triangle stretched out over 12 episodes.
Thankfully, Loft finally set some boundaries with Pure. Enough is enough — at some point, it just becomes disrespectful and shows a real lack of self-esteem. That scene right after they slept together, when Pure rushed straight to grab her phone… what a crazy scene!
Air, on the other hand, really breaks my heart. She’s actually the character I appreciate the most in the series. Like it or not, she truly tried to be honest with Pure, especially by telling her that it was her mother who pushed her into this marriage with Lamp, even though she was still in love. What I admire most is how she stood up to her mother — something that, culturally, is far from easy, especially in an Asian family. For me, that makes her a standout character. And honestly, Neko is a fantastic actress. I really hope she’ll take on more projects in the future.
The series is coming to an end soon, so I’ll wait until I’ve seen the last two episodes before giving my final opinion.
Love Design Pilot (2025)
The series is definitely a feel-good one: it’s really enjoyable to follow the protagonists and the people in this little village.
I especially like the characters Wan, Toonam, and Chompoo, who feel the most realistic to me. As for Manmuk, I love her role — she’s there to stir up trouble, and honestly, I wish she did it even more.
That said, like many GMMTV GL series, there’s often this sense of slowness or boredom that I can’t quite explain. That’s just how I feel.
There are only two episodes left, but I think the drama hasn’t really been strong enough. The premise was interesting: two heroines, one who has to take over her late father’s shop, and the other who is the daughter of the new store being built across the street — the same one that indirectly caused her father’s death.
The series isn’t bad in itself, but it does feel like it loses focus.
Also, the storyline between Toonam and Chompoo was stretched out, but without adding much in the end. It could have been powerful, since it deals with someone still in the closet, struggling to accept their sexuality — something many people can relate to. Unfortunately, the execution felt off, as if one was right and the other wrong, when in my opinion, both had valid reasons.
Anyway, we’ll see this week how it all wraps up.
