The swamp was very smelly stinky but the black raspberries were so juicy and ripe🌿🌿🌞🪨

i bet there were a lot of lil funky friends under the surface all shapes and sizes oh boy but one i did see was this tiny little frog

oh so little!!!! when they jumped away from my foot at first I thought they were a CRICKET!!!!!

Ogives (noun) – bands of light and dark ice on a glacier

As a glacier flows over a rock ridge or other feature that creates an ice fall, the surface of the glacier cracks and forms crevasses. The walls of the crevasses collect dust and dirt when exposed (typically in summer), turning the ice darker. Each darker ridge of ice corresponds to a year of the glacier's growth. Ogives are rare on Mount Rainier but can be seen in the combined lower portion of the Cowlitz and Ingraham glaciers (more noticeable on the Ingraham side in this photo, marked by red bracket). Have you seen ogives on other glaciers?

Natalie takes five on the observation platform at Lancaster Lake in the Spicer Lake Nature Preserve in New Carlisle, Indiana.
