To be perfectly honest, Vassago wasn't sure how he felt about the fact that Andrealphus was here. Though really, he shouldn't have been surprised, since it was a Goetia function, but after everything that had happened, after seeing him for the first time in so long at the trial…, his thoughts were all over the place.
On the one hand, it had been like seeing his old friend all over again, but hearing what he'd said at the trial had made his hackles raise. It rang hollow to him, especially after the cowboy had taken the stand. If there was one thing Vassago put stock in, it was justice…, and justice had not been done that day.
At the same time, all the old feelings he'd thought were buried, thought he'd moved past had surged up, had made him that much more annoyed, fanned the flames of his anger and frustration at everything that had happened between them, everything that had been left unsaid.
That annoyance and confusion is still close to the surface, and it's all he can do to resist rolling his eyes at Andre's insinuation that his presence is a gift to be bestowed only upon those who are worthy.
But he is right that they should talk about the trial. It had been bothering him since it had happened, and he'd been trying to figure out why. If Andrealphus had more knowledge about what had happened, Vassago wanted to know.
He crosses his arms over his chest, one eyebrow raised as he listens to Andrealphus. It wasn't a surprise that Andre had considered Stolas to be a problem--he'd been fixated on the owl when they were younger too, but he'd hoped he'd grow out of that, for his sake, if nothing else--but he's not sure at all what he means by Stolas being a problem for the Goetia in general. Had Stolas' performance been true? It had had an element of theatre to it that could have just been Stolas' own flair for the dramatic, but something about it had seemed…exaggerated. While he didn't necessarily know Stolas well, he didn't seem like the type to do anything for power.
"Sigue," Vassago says, gesturing for Andrealphus to continue. "If you have so much tea, then tell me."
