LUKE S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 12
Thursday, 11/24/22 (Thanksgiving here in the U.S.)
SCRIPTURE:
"Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom." ~ Luke 12:32
OBSERVATION:
Fear the Lord... but, "Do not be afraid..."
"...little flock..." - the few amongst the many - surrounded by the many - trampled by the many... the chapter opens with "...so many thousands of people had gathered together that they were stepping on one another..." goes on to say, "...He began saying to His disciples first of all..." - to His little flock - to those with ears to hear...
The Father has chosen...
...GLADLY...
...to GIVE...
...ME...
...the kingdom...
...through and by Jesus - not by my own actions or by my own abilities...
APPLICATION:
Do not be afraid...
Live as one chosen,,,
Live gladly...
Share what He as given me - His kingdom...
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father - forgive my lack of righteous fear and my being afraid of simple things... Thank You for the Holy Spirit's shepherding me into and as a part of Your Son's little flock - despite my willingness to wander to the far side of the pasture more than now and then... please forgive my shortcomings... and may I confess Jesus in more ways than just saying He's my savior... may my life, my will, confess Him in more ways than my mere words can ever say... In His Name, and for Your praiseful, worshipful, glory and honor...
Joyfully thankful today - for you and yours... but even more for Him...
