I am so glad that I lucked into you

I know that I’m so grateful that all my feeble attempts to find someone before had failed -  because they led me to you. I know that it sounds so cheesy, and I shudder a little bit just saying it, but it’s so true.

It was mere coincidence that you and I were in the same place at the same time, taking time to meet for the first time, and at that corner of the bar you’d be so quick to say hello to me and we shook hands. The second you smiled, and that first word slipped through your lips I knew I had to know more about you and from that your first hello, I just felt that I didn’t want to hear you utter anything that resembled a goodbye to me and it just happened that we kept our convo and I blended into you. 

I know, we were both used to being hurt, but you were the first one that my head and heart decided was worthy enough of letting in, in trusting to protect them both.  The brain and heart are funny things, they never make sense and they usually never can agree on anything. Perhaps, we both had to go through relationships that broke down our trust,  which led to constructing strong walls around our hearts to find each other.  Without going through this we wouldn’t value each other as much as we do. 

You always ask me why I like you, and I can’t even begin to explain it to you, because it isn’t just a single reason or one trait that sticks out the most. I can’t just fit it all onto a sheet of paper. I simply like you because you’re you and I haven’t met anyone like you.

In this entire world there will never be anyone else like you because the guy you are is exactly right for me. I thank the heavens for blessing me with a person who has the greatest heart, like you and even I questioned myself over and over how they could hurt you in the past while you have this lovely heart. 

Those 10 days spending time with you was the shortest time ever that I love the most.  Every time I was with you, I could not control myself, just wanna hold you tight in my arms, kiss your lips like it would be my last. We were so close. I did have good time with you.  I love spending all of my time with you, I mean, spending time with you is like being in heaven. 

The future can be scary and I don’t know what tomorrow has in store for us. But I hope our journey will last. I do know that I look forward to every adventure and moment that I’m allotted with you. That waiting moment, that counting days to meet you again.

So if whether we’re blaming this on either a simple coincidence, fate, or a mere accident, I am thankful for all of the above. I hope that I could sleep tonight even you won’t be beside me from this day. But I attempt to be strong, we will meet soon again later and I will miss that moment when we hug and hold our hands each other again.
