The two boys giggled at the man’s comment, sharing looks of childish mischief with each other. Tomas knew his way through the school library, he reads a lot in his spare time too, back in the orphanage’s library. Matt hasn’t come to visit the children’s home, and Tomas was hoping his dad would let him come visit soon. He’s got a lot of neat books to share.
“Roast duck is good. I’ve had a bite of it before, when Mr Anderson bought it for himself in a sandwich. I’d say it tastes like chicken, but smokier. Mr Anderson is the handyman, by the way,” Tomas explains, sipping on his glass of water. “He said roast duck is expensive, though.”
