What a day. Started off waking up to 2 flat tires on the Gravel Bike. My tire patching skills are sketchy at best but since I was out of tubes I didn’t have much choice if I wanted to get in a lot of miles before the @glaserarms_brentwood event. So I patched 3 tubes and ran a few errands in the car while they set. Came home and put two of them in the wheels and pumped them up. I had a cup of coffee and made some breakfast. After breakfast the tires seemed to be holding air so I went for a ride. Got in 22 miles with out any issues. I could have been happy with that ride and called it a day. According to my Facebook memories I ended day 4 with 111 miles and that’s where I was after this morning’s 22 miles. So I loaded up the car for the event and headed out to Brentwood. Stopped by @thebikeshop_brentwood for a new tire and some tubes(Sure the patches held but for how long) @velopro62 and @kidpro70 took care of me like they always do. Their support in every single year of my challenge has been nothing short of amazing. Then I stopped by the home of @therockabillyballoonbender because yesterday was my #RoadDawg Mason’s Birthday. Then it was off to #GlaserArms for 3 hours of fun and music as we hung out selling those last minute raffle tickets. We chatted with the Barber next door and he must of been telling his clients about our fundraising efforts because one gentlemen stopped by and put nearly $400 dollars in #DJ @quitterdan ‘s tip jar and told him bless you for what you all are doing. I really wish I knew his name because I would love to thank him for his generosity! I had many friends stop by which was truly appreciated. After the shop closed we figured out how many tickets total were sold(244) and then we pulled the winning ticket!! When I got home I checked the tires on the bike and the patches were still holding so I decides I needed to get in some more miles. So I hopped on the bike and Logged another 6+ miles for the day.
