Glass Walking
Not a great quality photo but I got on stage to glass walk and hoop last week at a Variety Show/Open Mic. I feel like I did awfully and went too fast and was awkward. But I also didn’t really prepare. Not bad for a first performance on my own though.

Jumping on Glass
As the colorful shards are pouring out onto the tarp, I look up to see Shane and feel relieved that he did not miss the whole show. For him I go old school, getting down on my knees to ‘wash’ my face in the glass, rubbing it in so much I know there are tiny pieces all over my cheeks. Diving hands first into the pile, the shattered glass is spilled from my palms over and over to create a racket that ensures the audience this glass is real. My shoes are tossed aside and I get right to it, pounding my feet to the rhythmic clapping accompanying whatever song happened to be playing at that moment. The only sound I hear is the glass as it groans under my weight when I jump on it; there is silence that is followed by applause but I am not finished yet. Jumping as high as my legs can take me, I call out for a step ladder and moments later it is positioned in front of the pile. All eyes are on me now, but I only see his as I dive feet first off the top step.
Electric Sideshow Does a House Party - also know as that night I learned some things I did not need to know, had way too much fun with broken glass and hooked up with someone I hadn't seen in a couple of years after finding out he lived right down the street to me.
Summer 2005 in South Jersey was a great time, and then I left to travel with the carnival which is still one of the best jobs I have ever had.
Starting a new pile of glass; this will be the third [and hopefully final] time I have to do it. Basically, you collect a bunch of empty bottles, rinse/wash them out, soak the labels off, then throw 'em in a sack and smash 'em with a hammer. That's my favorite part for a number of reasons, tho I don't have to worry about disturbing any neighbors.
There is something I have wanted to do for a broken glass routine that I decided to finally work on, and even if I just to it for myself it's worth all of this effort.
Also still find it funny I was once banned from performing my glass routine on account I got a piece stuck in my foot and bled too much. Yea, it's not like the glass is real or anything.
