I feel like you’d really dig this movie! It’s about a princess who dreams of learning about the world and wants to adventure. But gets cursed and becomes a “traditional princess” who agrees with anything she’s told and so has to figure out how to save herself from such a curse.

I’m very excited to finally be getting to post this, after having to wait a few months for the spare time to make some post-crit edits! We’d gotten a class assignment to do cover/promotional art for any book/game/comic that we wanted, and the first thing that sprung to mind for me was the webcomic Unsounded. I’ve absolutely loved this comic since I first found it four years ago; I’m super picky about both art and story when it comes to webcomics, but Unsounded has consistently blown me away on both fronts and set a standard I really hope I can achieve in my own art. @glassshard is also a really approachable person, and was kind enough to let me do this for the assignment; I really hope she likes how it turned out! If you haven’t read Unsounded yet, I highly recommend it. The entire story thus far is readable at the link up above, and if you enjoy it there’s also a Kickstarter going on right now to get Volume 3 printed that you might want to check out!

The biggest and most useful discovery pertaining to this that I’ve made is there doesn’t need to be such a delineation between pencils and inks. More gestural “sketchy” inks actually look better than the really tight ones. More life. And they’re faster too. Win/win!

Goals, dude. :D This is the dream! And I kinda feel like my hand is finally getting steady enough that I can really try to push this in chapter 4. Thanks for awesome advice!

Aaaa thanks dude! <3 And I always find it fun to look at other people’s improvement and/or style evolutions - I remember you posting one showing how you went from more painted art to more stylized and it was just so cool! ^_^

When I actually do manage to change someone’s mind? I8 I’ll tell you what, that’s an uphill battle and a rarity and a half, so I never actually expect people to change their minds ahaha

Though, I’m glad to hear that you’ve actually taken some consideration to my ramblings! I have like four years of character development in my mind, and it’s really hard to explain the details of it in anything less than an essay. But, it’s a complex and interesting relationship that has two characters defying the roles that fate put them into, and reveals a LOT of of these character’s potentials, it’s so good
