◜ ★ ◞ Uncertainty came with the premise, infiltrating a section that had been cut off, those that had built this space that was meant to be safe for civilians, never could have foreseen it becoming one of the main bases for the enemies. Far too many supplies, ranging from weapons, medical equipment and access codes - and general supplies that were meant to help their end of the way, all remained inside. Hopefully, untouched. Because as far as he can tell, everything had remained untouched. As if they hadn’t bothered digging into it, mainly setting up around it and avoiding it. This alone, struck him as incredibly odd and was something that he didn’t trust. As if there was an agenda hidden between those thin lines, somewhere. Regardless, it would make their job easier. Having been shown the map before coming into the section, every set up that had the supplies inside, being what was circled and pointed out to them. Engraved into his memory, hence why he’d been rendered silence. Making memory of where they should turn next, trying to find a short cut to make their time here, much shorter.
Back is pressed against one of the walls that hadn’t completely collapsed, now offering a form of cover. The Soldier leans forward, as if he’s about to speak, to explain their next move, until he completely stops. Rattling and heavy footsteps catch his attention, and he can practically hear the enemies at the very other side of where they stood. Blue gaze meets hers, able to speak through eyes alone; as if telling her not to move a single muscle. So far, they had virtually no Intel on them, except that they were fast, strong, and shouldn’t be messed with. As far as how well they sensed things? Still being determined. Hell, the Soldier was bent on avoiding confrontation. Outnumbered for certain, with very little chances of backup coming to where they are. Given how much time and careful precision it took them alone to get inside. To the point, that he hadn’t even realized he held his breath until he exhaled the moment silence filled the air and space between them once more. Head shakes, and trigger finger is scooted away from the trigger, resting on the very back of it in case situation turned askew.
“Let’s pick up our pace.” He didn’t want to stay longer than necessary. Acting through knowledge and logic, that even if they can fight and would be difficult to subdue, it didn’t mean they had to challenge that. He’d figured a good shortcut, something that’s going to keep them out of sight, for the most part. Turning on the worn soles of combat boots, he peeks around the corner of their temporary cover. Clear, for the moment. Not a single second is wasted, there’s no hesitance and he leads the way around fairly familiar grounds. Instantly, two locations get his attention, close to each other. Medical and Intel, standing so close together - and the two were somehow right in the middle. Decision had to be made, importance of both teetering. Instead, he makes his way towards the side that’d take them to where most of the information had been coming in and being kept, studied. If they continued to remain under the radar, he’s certain they’ll be able to hit all the points. They’d be quicker if they split off, have her raid the other side where medical had been kept up - but, he knew it was an idea that’d end badly.
