This is 500000% Glen Keane's art.
Look at some of those tiny details! In the first one, her journal is plain, but in the second one, it's colorfully decorated! It's amazing how this concept art carried all the way through the series, too!

Ok, so Pendleton Ward (Adventure Time) is now working with Netflix. And you can watch a video with 10 another great artists also working on new animated projects for this platform : - Glen Keane - Jorge Gutierrez - Shion Takeuchi - Alex Hirsch - James Baxter - Megan Dong - Craig McCracken - Matt Layzell - Elizabeth Ito - Chris Williams >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRMazof6RMc
I mentioned in a previous confession that Bambi got me to pay more attention to animal anatomy. I should also mention that Tarzan got me to pay more attention to human anatomy. I just can't get over the way Tarzan is animated; Glen Keane makes it all look so easy!
There was a comic adaptation of the 2010 movie? I knew about the existence of series comics but didn't realize there was a movie comic. When was it released?
September 12, 2017, and it was rereleased in hardback in 2021 and is still easy to find.
There's also the Tangled: The Graphic Novel, released in 2010. It was an exclusive at the Disney Store. (And I would freaking love to get my hands on it.)
I cannot express how much Tangled has inspired me over the years. Glen Keane’s artwork for it was what made me decide to pursue art and animation, Rapunzel herself has helped me step out of my comfort zone and the Tangled series has helped me take the chance of publishing my art and move from my hometown. Whenever I’m feeling sad I listen to More of Me, Wind in my Hair and When will my life begin (reprise 2) and I feel so empowered afterwards
Go watch Over the Moon on Netflix

Hey, I love your blog so much💕! I wanted to know your opinion on the concept ideas from “Rapunzel Unbraided” from the tangled early development process. Like personally I really really love the characters and the designs and the concept. I know a lot of people didn’t like the ideas and wanted to know what you thought about it.
Aww, thank you so much!
I like the character designs (I like pretty much anything Glen Keane puts his hand to), and I guess the basic concept isn’t terrible, but the living hair was just... awful. That was the stupidest direction they could have thought to take. I’m glad the basic idea was turned into Enchanted, instead.
It would be fun to see some of those ideas/characters implemented in the series, though. Like Vincent or Beau.
