Assign a Taylor swift album to glee characters!!
AWHHH I LOVE THIS QUESTION 🎉 !!
This is pretty hard given that glee’s characterization can be… a little wonky at points, but here’s my thought process (spoiler alert: it will be long)
- Santana Lopez as reputation - this is a more obvious one, but bad girl aesthetic aside, this is a LOVE ALBUM !! and even more noteworthy, it’s supposed to be all about secret love while you’re in a bad space (think seasons 2-3 especially)
Standout tracks for the character:
- Dancing With Our Hands Tied
(both connect to Santana’s fear of how strongly she feels for Brittany and what people would say about it)
- Call It What You Want (the eventual acceptance of her feelings)
- Brittany S. Pierce as Lover/Fearless - now for the other side of this coin, Brittany, who is also very much in love (Paper Rings, Daylight), and has never had any problems accepting herself (ME!, You Need To Calm Down), but I bring up Fearless as well because it’s pretty highschool and it has a pretty inexperienced/naive view of love, especially compared to her other albums. If I had to pick one, I would choose Lover, but I also like keeping an open mind with open opinions !!
- Rachel Berry as Speak Now/1989 - First off, I would be remiss not to give the New York album to the New York girl, and the good news is every Taylor album has at least one love song and every glubber has been in love at least once (at least the ones who mattered), so that will always line up. Speaking of love, Speak Now feels like a very transformative album for it as well as personal growth AND professional growth as an artist, which really speaks to Rachel going from Lima to NY in S4

Welcome To New York (self-explanatory)
Bad Blood (could see it being sung during the Santana feud of Funny Girl S5)
Enchanted (she was IMMEDIATELY infatuated with Finn from the MOMENT she laid eyes on him… or some would say… enchanted 😏)
The Story Of Us (insert one of three finchel breakups here)
- Kurt Hummel as Lover/1989 - Likewise, I would be remiss not to give the New York album to the New York boy. As for the Lover of it all, I think this album could really represent the duality in not only Kurt’s love life but also him as a character. I’ll keep it to its simplified version in the next section.

The Archer (omg, it’s me Kurt, and I’m having inner-conflict with my sexuality and how everyone treats me because of it 😞👎)
